Chapter 13( Shortly)

Sometimes we only see best on things when its gone. We always think that its always there thats why sometimes we took it for granted.

Looking at Grayson in front of me seems like one of those best thing that needed to be cared of. I know that he may not like me, but I wont sit and just watch. I'll start showing my feelings for him. I wont hold back this time.

I smiled at him shyly, thinking about how he only accompany me in a table where I could eat. I glance at him,still feeling a little bit nervous.

"What time are you out for school?"

I blink for a moment before I answered. Its still so different that he was actually talking to me right now and not just the usual snob and grumpy him.

"Uhm, at two. But the school will host for a program for tomorrow and maybe not before lunch I'll be home"

His eyebrow twitched.

"You wont join?"

I sheepisly grinned. I saw how his eyes glistered with playfulness. I was staring at him when Mau suddenly showed up.

He look at the two of us with brows furrowed. I cleared my throat and stand up.

"I'm sorry if I took so long out there. Kaizer gave me something. Come on, I'll take you home" Mau said while glancing at his brother. Looking at the two of them I can really see their resemblance. They're both tall but Grayson's a bit taller. His body is more mature too than Mau. If Grayson was the stiff version then Mau is the playful one.

I look at Grayson and saw him looking at me too. I bit my lip and sighed.

"I, I need to go" I said.

He nodded without a word. I glance at Mau and saw his brows furrowed. I snap at him and told him to move. We started walking away from the crowd. I glance again at Grayson who is just standing in that corner while looking at me.

A minute passed and were on the school's gate again. I told Mau a while ago to just drop me off here. Its past ten. My driver might be here in a minute cause I already texted him while were on the way.

I get out from his car and then he followed.

I glance at Mau and sighed. Maybe bringing me there still brought some good things. I had the chance to talk with Grayson and he will be teaching me tomorrow for a horseback riding. I still cant believe that its actually happening.

"I hope you have fun. Even if I was kinda busy. My sister keeps on bugging me its hella annoying actually" He said.

I shake my head and smile a little.

"Dont worry about it. I have fun. Really" I said while smiling. Remembering the conversation I had with Grayson earlier is more than what a word fun could ever mean for me.

Mau cleared his throat.

"Do you... perhaps know my brother?"

I gazed back at him and nodded softly.

Mau sighed and nodded. "I'm really sorry about what happened with my Dad back there. He dont usually walks away from a guest given the fact that he's our mayor here"

We thought about the same thing. Why did Mayor Acharon walk out looking annoyed or something, its still weirding me out.

"By the way. Thank you for coming with me tonight. Despite the fact that I just blackmailed you for you to come. But still, thank you" Mau said.

I stared at him stiffling a smile. Looking at Mau saying thank you made something lighter. I felt like I've found friendship with him. I cant seem to explain it but there's this connection with the two of us that binds us together. It was fun and genuine.

I smiled at him. Mau stared at me with awe then he touches his nape.

"I actually like it. You, inviting me for such party. I like it" I said.

Mau tried to grimaced and cleared his throat. I chuckled.

My laughed faded when I notice our familiar car. Matias, our driver get out and greeted me. I sighed and gazed back at Mau.

" I should go"

Mau nodded and grinned.

"I wanted to take you home but then you wont allowed it. Maybe next time then?" He said with a playful smirk.

I shake my head off while snorting at him. I then started walking into our car. Matias opened the door for me. I glance back at where Mau is standing who playfully waved his hand and salute. I laughed and get in.

"How's the party sweety?" My mother who seems very excited to know every details asked me immediately. It was kinda surprising that she's not off to bed yet?

She was alone in the sofa. Dad, mommy said, was on his library doing some late paper works.

I heavily sighed and sit down on our sofa. Mom sit too and look at me softly.

"It was great" I said. I bit my lip and tried to act more casual and normal as possible. I feel so guilty lying to my mom right now but then maybe, telling her what happened back then minus some details might be good. As long as nothing bad happened tonight then I dont need to worry.

Thats why I spend almost an hour telling my mom some great details that happened a while ago. She was listening intently as I tried to hell her details.

Her smile showed after.

"I'm so happy that you're having fun"

My lips formed a thin line and I nodded at her.

"But, can I ask you something Saddie?" Mommy said then cleared her throat.

My brows furrowed. My mom doesn't usually calls me by that name. She rarely calls me Saddie. What about it this time?

"What is it Mom?"

She sighed and stared at me intently.

"Do you perhaps, met someone from the school with a family name of Escovillana? I mean, your school was kinda big I know, but did someone with a name like that tried to talk with you or get friends with you?" Mommy was being serious while asking me that.

My forehead knotted trying to remember if someone tried to be friends with me with that family name but then nothing came.

"There was none Mom. Why? Is there anything wrong with that family name? Why did you ask that?"

She heavily sighed and smiled.

"Nothing. I....just thought about something.By the way, do you want some milk? I'll get you one"

I nodded at mom and grinned sheepishly.

"Alright. Wait here and I'll get my babies milk"

I pouted at my mother as she turn her back and move her way into our kitchen. A minute later she came back holding a glass of milk.

"Thank you Mom" I said and I tried to kiss her cheeks. She chuckled at me being a baby.

"Oh! I almost forgot. Your Daddy will be out of town for tomorrow. He might stay out of town for a week. Dont you have any things you wanted or perhaps a favor for your Daddy?"

I shake my head off. "Are you coming with him?" I asked.

"As much as I wanted to come with your father sweety I dont think I can. We have some transaction for the upcoming harvest of mangoes this week. Your father wont be able to do it that's why I'll manage it instead" Mom replied.

I slowly nodded at her.

After drinking the warmth milk we both decided to go upstairs to sleep. I kiss mom on the cheeks while walking barefooted on our staircase. My shoes are on my left hand.

"Go change. Your Daddy wont be able to say goodbye tomorrow and he's quite busy now. But I'll try if he can. Goodnight sweetie"

"Goodnight too Mom, tell Daddy I'll call when he landed"

Mommy nodded and smiled. I turn my back at her and opened my door. Just as the moment I went inside my room, I hurriedly get my stuffs and made my way to my bathroom to take a quick shower.

I notice that my mood seems different from the past weeks . I was humming inside the bathroom and I cant help but smile everytime I will remember what Grayson had said. I'm really going crazy for this!

I was ready to bed when I cant seem to sleep. I keep on thinking about Grayson. Of how he talks, he smiles and when he get mad or jealous at something. I cant wait for tomorrow. This is the very first time in my life that I badly wishes that a minute or an hour would passed shortly.
