Chapter 8( Wish)

I was flustered the whole minute. Grayson didn't accelerated his speed and remained joining me.
A minute later and I'm seeing all my father's workers. There were cars too parked on a small highway.
I stop the horse. I tried my very best to get down when I suddenly remember I forgotten how! Cold sorrounds my body. And Grayson is watching me, what would he think if he saw me falling from this thing?
He get out from his car. His gazed found mine and I started to fakely laughed. I tilted my head to the other side and closed my eyes frustratadely.
Whatever. I said to myself. I hurriedly go down so that he wont notice my nervousness and lack of knowledge with this thing when I realized that the horse is tall. My foot did not yet reach the ground and that's when my eyes widened as I fell down.
I heard Grayson called my name before my body landed on the ground. I groaned when I felt pain on my arms and butt.
Aw! It hurts.
"Adeline! Are you okay?"
It's my Dad. Worry was itched on his face. I grimaced when I felt soreness all over my body but particularly on my right elbow.
I glance at the man beside my Dad and I how I wish I was pulled by some big creature. He look kinda... worried.
Or I must be hallucinating? Did I poke my head or something?
"For goodness sake Adeline! What were you thinking? I told our housemaids not to allow you riding that thing and have Matias to bring you and yet here you are disobeying them?!" My father voice boomed.
I flinch with his voice and closed my eyes for the sudden embarrassment I've felt. Grayson is listening right now! What would I do? The hell!
"You're so stubborn! Look what happened to you? What if this happened to a place far from here? Who will help you?!" Daddy continued.
"Sir, I'll take Adeline to my car, I have some first aid there" Grayson suddenly interrupted.
I look at him and saw that he glance at my direction too. He seems mad.
"Al..right Joseph, I'm so glad you're here. I still need to talk with Mr Solis thats why I'll leave my daughter to you."
My eyes widened because of that.
"Well talk later Adeline." Daddy said while looking at me seriously. He then turn around and continue with his business talk with a client.
I bit my lip as soon as daddy left us. I gazed at Grayson and saw how he only look at my wounded elbow, seriously.
"U-Uhm, s-sorry, Dad even commanded you for something. Actually I can handle this, the wound is not that deep and big,so" I said while chuckling a bit.
No reply from him.He then move closer. My heart started beating wildly with the thought the he might carry me into his car.
I swear I did not breath as he easily carried me. Bridal style! My cheeks were heating for sure. He easily lifted me without no sweats!
I look at him and only saw an amazing view. I cant help but feel so giddy while staring at him. His pointed nose and thick eye lashes are what I'm seeing. Even on this angle he is still so damn gorgeous.
I feel so disappointed when we reaches his car. He opened the door on the passenger seat with me still on his arms. I bit my lip supressing a smile.
He easily put me down on the car's seat. He was serious while doing it and that only made him look hotter to me.
His arms stretched while getting something on his dashboard. I saw a white plastic container. He opened it without a word.
It was a tiny bottle with 'betadine' as its label and a cotton.
I was so lost staring at him that I didnt hear him said something. I battled my eyelashes and pinch my hand.
"H-huh?" I asked.
Grayson sighed. "I said give me your arms."
His voice seems like a magic for me that I easily nodded and handed him my arms.
His jaw clenched when he look at it. My eyes landed with it too, but this time my eyes widened a fraction.
"Oh my gosh!" I said horrified.
I did not bother looking at it a while ago cause I thought that its not that really deep and now..
I look at Grayson with still a terrified look.
"C-can you just cover it w-with cloth. I'll, I'll have our housemaid to take care of it " I can't help but stutter while saying it.
His eyebrows twitched. Here's a funny fact about me. I'm afraid of wounds and bloods. Everytime I'll get myself wounded I always cry whenever Mom, my brother and Ms. Mercy would try to cure it, afraid that the wound might get worst. Its overreacting, yes, but what can I do? That's me. And I'm afraid that if Grayson would try to do something with my wound I'll cry like some stupid baby. Heck that would be very a big turn off!
That's why I keep on shaking my head and I even tried to take back my arms. But his hold seems tighter.
"I can do it. I have the kit here." He replied.
I really wanted to just pull away from him, I can't help but be annoyed that he's not letting me! . Grayson was confused while looking at me.
"Why wont you let me? Are you? Are you ...afraid?" He asked trying to sound serious but there still that hidden twist of his lips like he find it funny.
I glared at him and pouted.
He only chuckled. Damn! Can you laughed more please?
What!? What did I say? Get a hold of yourself Adeline! Stop complimenting his laugh and you'll only get yourself in trouble!
"This wont hurt. I promised." He said after a minute of arguing with me.
Now he only sound serious. I keep on shaking my head but then he didnt listened to my whims. A moment later I felt something on my elbow. It felt cold and there still this sorenese within it, well, it doesn't hurt that bad. But, why am I crying again? This stupid reaction of mine should be deleted on my system...
I bit my lip as tears started to fall. I really tried not to cry but then I failed. Grayson look up and his eyes widened with his mouth went opened while looking at me.
Now I'm over. I probably look like some stupid right now crying for nothing!
"A-are you okay?" He asked after a minute.
I cried more when he asked it.
"I told you to just cover it with cloth! Now look at m-me!" I wailed and cried more.
I'm really over.
Grayson's eyes reflected different type of emotions. But more of it were pain and amazement.
I was so preoccupied crying that I haven't notice how he move closer and wipe the tears on my cheeks.
His hand felt warm and big as he was serious while doing it.
I bit my lip and stop myself from crying. I saw how Grayson's gulped and clenched his jaw..
"I'm here. Everythings going to be okay. I am here Adeline" He huskily said.
I dont know what happened but my tears stop when he uttered my name. For the very first time!
I keep on staring at him like an i***t with an erratic beating of my heart.
It was after a minute when Grayson smiled. I gasped while looking at him. Can you believe it? He smiled! For the very first time! His hands were big and firm but I'm amazed of how he hold my arms so lightly. Like a feather.
I look at him and how he only put his attention more on my elbow. I bit my lip wishing that he likes me back. That he's taking care of me not because I'm his friend. But because I'm someone special.
I smiled bitterly. How I really wish though.
