"What's wrong?" Olive asks as soon as she walks into the coffee shop.
Matt asked me not to tell her anything about whatever happened so I promised him that this is going to stay in between us.
I understand him, in a way. This is his personal concern about his mother and her pride. There is no way I would say something like that without his permission.
