Caleb ran down the stairs to catch up with Leigh. "Hey, Leigh" he called out.
Leigh ignored his call and kept on walking outside to grab her bags.
She didn't know why he called her nor did she want to find out.
Caleb hot on her heels grabbed Leigh's arm making her stop in her track.
Leigh hated a lot of things one of which was being touched by anyone without her permission. Although she had never granted anyone besides her family permission to touch her.
She glared at Caleb's hand on her arm which caused him to retract his hand.
"Sorry" he apologized.
"What do you want?" She looked up at him with a bored expression.
"I'm sorry for the way we met up there, I'm Caleb, Caleb Stones" he held out his hand for a handshake.
Leigh took a look at his hand.
'Really?, after what I saw you do with those. You must be kidding' she thought.
"Leigh Young"
Caleb noticed Leigh wouldn't receive his handshake so he decided to put his hand in his pants pocket.
Leigh gave Caleb one last look before turning on her heels and head outside.
Getting to Jessie's car parked outside in the school garage, Leigh found out Jessie wasn't there nor were her bags.
"This fool," she said dialing Jessie's number. "Where are you?" She asked after Jessie picked on the second ring.
"Around. why?" He replied.
"My bags?"
"Oh s**t. They aren't there? I left them near the car"
"Jessie" she warned in a stern voice.
"I'd be right there" Jessie hung up.
"Jessie Young is your brother?" Caleb asked.
Leigh turned to him, she knew he had followed her here. She thought ignoring him would keep him off her tail.
She raised an eyebrow at Caleb asking him to continue.
"I guess he is then," Caleb concluded. "You don't seem to talk much," Caleb said.
No answer
"Okay then. Look I would be throwing a party tonight and I'm inviting you although everyone is invited, so....what do you say?" Caleb asked.
"Not my scene" Leigh replied.
"Leigh" Jessie breathed, after running into the garage.
"My bags?" Leigh repeated.
"It's not here?, no it's not. I guess someone stole them". "It was just clothing right, you can get another sets no big deal" Jessie shrugged.
Leigh glared at Jessie. This was one of the reasons she had always found Jessie annoying. She had always thought he was the stupidest guy in the universe, how he managed to have girls fawning over him was beyond her understanding.
She glared hard at him as if communicating with him with just her eyes.
"Oh s**t, it's in there?" He asked, understanding the message Leigh conveyed.
No answer.
"Oh no," Jessie ran his hands through his hair.
"What is that?" Caleb asked.
"None of your business. What are you still doing here" Jessie asked Caleb glaring.
"What's with the attitude, I didn't ask you to be so careless with your sister's bags now, did I?" Caleb spat.
"Leave!" Jessie warned.
Jessie being one who was easily angered was already fuming with rage. He wanted to beat up Caleb badly for not knowing his place. But he knew doing that would only cause trouble for him, the school hadn't even resumed yet.
Moreover, he didn't want Leigh to see him lose his temper, She had never seen that side of him and he planned on keeping it that way.
"Just leave Caleb, we need some privacy" Leigh declared.
"I will see you around then Leigh," he said before leaving the garage.
"So..." Leigh paused folding her arms on her chest.
"Leigh, I swear I left them here. I mean you saw me take them out right?" He asked hopefully.
"No, I didn't" Leigh deadpanned.
"Oh no," he said and ran his hand through his hair. "Dad is gonna kill me," he said, looking at Leigh.
"How long can you stay without it?" He asked.
"4 or 5 hours"
"s**t" he cursed, banging his hand on his car.
'Oh no I'm so dead' he thought.
He took a look at Leigh, 'Please don't die' He prayed silently.
