Chapter Fifteen
Wilder was going crazy with boredom. Her confinement aboard the Opportunity reminded her of her trip to the Galactic Assembly space station. The weeks and months of that journey had dragged by, with little to stimulate her mental faculties except her studies of the Fila, and the strange interpersonal dynamic between Cherry and Aubriot.
But at least then she’d had other humans to keep her company. At the time, she would have given a lot to get away from them and the close, sweaty proximity of other people with their loud voices and boring conversations. Now, she would give a lot to have just one of them aboard the ship with her. Even that asshole Aubriot would be better than no one.
