Chapter Twelve
EDWIN YAWNED, PLACING his hand over his mouth as he c****d his head to the side. He glanced at his watch, shocked that it wasn’t even near quitting time yet. Looking up, he noticed the others gathered around Kendra’s desk, laughing, the sight making him smile. A team that laughed together, had fun together, worked better. Tossing his pen down onto his desk, he slid out of his chair and moved to see what the laughter was all about. He had been locked in his office way too long as it was.
As he stepped out of his office, the others jerked their attention toward him, and Jana leaped to her feet as if busted doing something wrong. “Please, stay as you are,” he said, waving her back to her seat. “Don’t let me interrupt a good time.”
