ASHER I stared at Olivia, surprise etched on my features. Did she perhaps hit her head on the wall or get into an accident which caused a temporary memory loss? Did I need to take her to the hospital for a mental checkup? If she had gotten into an accident, she wouldn't have recovered this quickly, so the thought seemed absurd. Still, I couldn't help but consider different possibilities because the woman standing right in front of me had changed so much. Could someone change so easily?
