I sat with her for the rest of the afternoon when I got a mind link from Mom saying that dinner was ready. She wanted to know if we would be down,
"Hey, Mom just linked me, saying dinner is done. Would you like to go down, or can I have it brought up here?"
"Oh, Um," I could see her thinking as she bit the inside of her cheek,
"You dont have to go down. We can eat up here if that makes you feel better,"
Her eyes scanned the room as she thought for a moment,
"Is there a lot of people?"
"I would lie. Sometimes, it can be a lot. Not everyone eats here. Most do eat dinner at their own places here. It is all the unmated members. Some guards eat here if they dont have enough time
