Chapter 24: Leaving

For the rest of the day, I stayed in my room. Mariam brought me dinner in my room as well, but except for that, no one tried to talk to me, which was heartbreaking, but a relief at the same time. I missed Angela, but seeing her just  reminded me of Adrian and I didn’t want that. I just hoped to get to sleep as soon as possible and in the morning I would leave this place. I packed my bag, I didn’t need to take a lot of things. I left my pack two weeks ago, so I was sure my mom hadn’t gotten rid of my clothes and stuff. The clothes here were not really mine, not in the same way as those back there. Night came quickly. Moonlight illuminated everything in my room with its soft light.
