“Are you hungry?” Angela asked me. I shook my head, which was the biggest mistake I could make. As soon as my stomach heard anything related to food, it growled loudly like a mountain lion. “I see,” Angela replied with a laugh. For the past week, I had been hearing footsteps behind us or noticed shadows following us, but she never let me turn to look. Today was no different.
