“Naya Aurora, you are hereby sentenced 30 years to jail, for kidnapping, robbery and harassment.” The judge stomped on her mallet, as Naya’s court hearing ended. Naya hadn’t cried or pleaded her case. Her eyes were on Lovelyn who was grinning happily. She could tell the insecurity in the lady’s face. Lovelyn suspected something was off and she was scared. But she couldn’t admit it because she was afraid of the truth. Naya’s eyes moved from Lovelyn to Hailey and her smile returned again. She looked childish, as she grinned happily when taken from the stand to the Hazards who wanted to speak with her one last time.
