So I finally said what I did: “Want to watch a movie? Smoke?” “As long as it’s not about Valentine’s Day, yeah. Sure. Maybe.” Kyle was already stepping into my room. I still had a mattress on the floor, something which he had mercilessly teased me about all this year. Now, though, he flopped on it as if it was a haven. I grabbed my computer and booted something up from an online streaming collection. It was Groundhog Day. “Hope this is okay.” “Totally appropriate, actually.” “How so?” “Feels like the same damn day over and over again,” he lamented.
