CHAPTER SEVEN Randi gazed around at the lanai house – Mike had called it that. She wasn’t exactly sure what that meant, other than it sounded like a beautiful word to describe a beautiful place. The entire day had been a shock, but perhaps seeing her hideout from Trina’s bad boy friends was the biggest shock of all. She’d never seen such luxury… from the cool easy colors of Hector’s villa to the white cushiony sofas to the enormous potted palms and exotic plants. Moving about the verandas with their gulf breezes and expansive views, she felt more at peace than she’d ever felt in her life. A feeling of relief set in. She slept for nearly two days, seeing no one but a sweet-faced housekeeper who brought her trays of delicious food. She’d never eaten so well. When she and Mike arrived, the
