What have we learned? This question should be topmost at town council, law enforcement agency and community club meetings.
Young women are vulnerable to predators. Hence, young women must learn an independent, curious, analytical mindset. They don’t need lectures about ‘proper lady’s clothing’ or ‘unsafe petting.’ These are distractions. Communities have an obligation to raise their daughters to think, question, aim high, to accept struggle and failures as stepstones to worthy goals…in short, raise daughters who have inner strength and a willingness to fight, to be women who are no longer among the naïve and vulnerable.
