She went to the wardrobe, making sure to close the door so she would hear if someone was coming in. Evander always knocks, even if the door was open, but still. She had to make sure. She had left him sleeping on the log in the garden, brought him a blanket and had come here alone. She would need maximum privacy foe what she was about to do. She ransacked, then found it behind the wardrobe, just where she had put it, after the first shopping spree with Evander. She closed it and went to stand by the window. The view was beautiful and it was her favorite place. She saw the gamma, Jake. He didn’t talk much and when Evander introduced her to him, he just smiled, said a "nice to meet you." and excused himself. He was one to fuss, to be honest. He made sure Evander, and since she was Evander's guest, that both of them had their meals, weren’t feeling sick. He was one caring person, very silent, but caring. She looked down at her hands. Both of them held phones, the only difference was that one was her real phone, the one she had with her when she made Evander discover her and the one Evander had bought for her. He didn’t use his phone much and rarely made calls, but he figured she would want one, and he bought it for her. She sighed and kept the one he had bought for her on the bedside, and after making a call, rose the other one to her ear. "Wow!!," the voice on the line said, dripping with mock surprise. "You leave more than a month ago and just now, decide to call?" She rolled her eyes. "Cole, I don’t have the time for your nonsense. I need soldiers." He laughed. "Seems like our able delta got a new kill, huh?" Yeah, the same people who made me feel things I never thought I could. "Just give me twenty able soldiers. Twenty is all I need." She repeated. She could almost see him raising a brow. "What kind of pack are you conquering that you need only twenty men?" A beautiful pack. "A weak pack. A pack that doesn’t know how to fight." She said and he huffed. "Where exactly are you? I will dispatch them right now." "No," she said, knowing that he would never allow her attack full moon. "I will tell you a rendezvous point, and there you will send them. I will meet them there tomorrow by...10." "Okay, that's settled. So, babe...when are you coming back? I've missed you." He disgusted her. "Is that blonde beside you not doing her job well?" She said, hitting bull's eye as she heard him gulp. "Dispatch them right now." She quenched the call.
"b***h. I swear, one mistake and she's out." He was seething and a blonde was lying next to him, her head on his chest." Baby, its okay." She said in a slurpy, seductive voice. "Of course. That fool, thinking I wouldn't know. She wants to attack full moon and they may be weak, but you can't defeat them." He laughed. "I have always wanted to conquer that place. The fool thinks she's going to do something legendary." The blonde, who was obviously a bimbo, raised her head in confusion. "You wont understand, Angel. I will send my weakest, useless men. I know I’m going to lose them all, anyway." He shrugged and laughed, one that held a deep seated hatred, evil and a conviction that he knew something Isabella and the stupid blonde beside him didn’t know.
"Hey, I was looking for you." Evander said as he closed the door behind him, walking to where she stood by the window. She had returned the phone, and was holding the one he knew of. "I didn't want to wake you up. Did you sleep well?" He nodded, drawing her closer. "Why did you leave? I was worried when I woke up and you weren't by my side." He was shifting her hair from her face and playing with it affectionately. "I'm sorry." She said, meaning it in more ways than he knew. Drawing her to him, he wrapped his arms around her, hugging her and burying his head in the crook of her neck. " Its okay. With you, it will always be okay." He was rubbing her back and was so engrossed in hugging her, even though she didn't return the favor. "I'm not used to all of this." It was the truth. He released her and looked into her eyes, a look that pleaded for her to say more. "I'm not used to being l...wanted this way." He smiled. "Loved this way" he corrected. "And you should. Cause this is your life now." How wrong. "Can I go out tomorrow?" "What's wrong?" "Nothing, really. Just want to take a stroll outside the pack. Is that okay with you?" She knew it would be. "Yeah. Will you come back? Please do. I don't want you getting in trouble and then another alpha comes along..." She wanted to laugh, but she noticed the seriousness and the pleading look in his eyes. " I'll be okay. Don’t worry. You are my only savior" she assured and he nodded. "You don’t need me to come along?" She shook her head. "Just attend to your pack. They need you." He drew her in again. "You will be back, right?" He repeated, since the first one went unanswered. Yes..yes, I’ll be back. And then you will hate me. I will come back and it wont be the same way I left. I will be Isabella, delta of the split moon. And you will hate that woman. "I'll be back. I promise." He kissed her forehead and held her close, as if he knew what would happen and didn't want to let her go. This was the only way, she thought, trying to convince herself more.
