Nancy woke up with a start, and what first came in view was a white ceiling.
She looked around. It was a hospital.
"Miss Roberts, you're awake at last." The nurse seemed relieved: "You've been in a coma for four days. The doctor says if you can't wake up now, you'll..."
Nancy supported herself up with elbows: "Where are my kids? Are they..."
"Don't worry. The surgery went well, and they are both safe."
"I'm gonna go see them..."
