793 Words
Nancy asked in disbelief: "You...I'm on your blacklist?" "I told you. There won't be any stars to watch in the next week. And I don't want anything to do with you again. After settling the divorce in a week, you'll be out of my life.” Nancy didn't know whether to laugh or to cry: "Tim, are you that desperate to get rid of me? What am I to you, a monster?" Tim said coldly: "Worse." Nancy felt her head spinning. She sniffed: "Tim, do you think I have no heart to feel pain?" She had no heart, so he could hurt her in any way he wanted? And he just said: "I'm sure you do. Except it's made of stone. A stone can't feel pain, can it?" Tears rose in Nancy's eyes: "You'll regret what you said." "I only regret one thing. Knowing you." Nancy hung up before he could say anything else to hurt her. She should have known it. She should have known he didn't care for her anymore. What was she expecting? There was a knock on the door, and Fiona walked in: "Nancy, how did it go? He loved you so much. I'm sure once the misunderstanding is cleared, he'll... " Nancy interrupted her: "Fiona." "Yes dear?” Nancy wiped the tears with the back of her hand, before smiling warmly at her: "I want to eat wonton." Seeing Nancy smile, Fiona thought she worked it out with Tim, and was relieved: "Anything you want darling. You take a tap. It'll be ready when you wake up." "Thank you, Fiona." "Young master likes wonton too. I'll make enough for both of you." Nancy smiled but didn't say anything. But he wasn't coming. Suddenly, something occurred to Fiona: "And Nancy, I just thought of something that might help. The morning before that terrible accident, a woman came to our house. She claimed to be car maintenance. She must have tempered with master's car! When young master comes back, I'll tell him too. There was definitely something up with that woman." Nancy sat uptight: "Fiona, do you remember what she looked like?" "I don't remember much. But it was a young woman. I remember myself wondering why they sent a woman on a man's errand..." Nancy asked hurriedly: "Fiona, do you know what Rachel Black does?" "Rachel? I heard she and young master met in a car shop..." Fiona's expression suddenly changed into one of horror: "Nancy, do you mean..." Nancy nodded: "Two days ago, she came to find me, and told me it was she who tempered with the car!" "Jesus!" Fiona exclaimed: "I'll make sure to tell young master when he comes back!" As long as he was willing to look into it, the truth will out! She was secretly excited, but also a little hurt. She took out her phone and started to record another video. "Hi sweetie, mummy found a way to get your daddy back. You must be good, and let uncle Smith take care of you, okay? When your daddy comes around, we'll be together. And you'll have a baby sister or baby brother soon, and then all the pain will go away, you'll soon be playing around like other kids. Are you excited?" "I know I am. I only had seven days to get pregnant, but I'll have many seven days if daddy knows the truth. Sweetie, mummy loves you so much, and loves your daddy so much..." Suddenly, Nancy tasted blood in her mouth. She quickly bent over, and spit it out. She was lucy the blood didn't stain the bedsheet, or else Fiona would be worried if she saw. Nancy used tissues to wipe the floor clean, and flushed the tissues down the toilet, pretending nothing had happened. The excitement didn't do her any good. She felt exhausted and her head cloudy. She got in bed, wrapping herself with the bedsheet, trying in vain to warm up. Her body was burning and sweating, but she felt so cold, and gradually slumbered off. She had a dream. In the dream, Tim held her in his arms and apologized. He said he was sorry for not trusting her, that he wanted to start over, and that he wanted to see their son together. The dream was so sweet, so beautiful, so...dreamy. Even in the dream, she knew it was not real. Bang Her eyes shot open, awakened by a loud thud. She got out of bed, and called out: "Fiona? Fiona?" No one answered. What happened? She went to the window. It had stopped raining. On the lawn outside the villa, there was a dreadful pool of blood. And in the middle of it was a body, dead and its limbs twisted. "Fiona!!"
