04- Madson P.O.V

1181 Words
I turned on the shower and let cold water run over my body, washing the same places two or three times. I avoided touching my p***y as much as possible; even the slightest touch was enough to create pure electricity in my belly. I bit my hand to prevent the thought of a good m**********n session from taking over. The last thing I needed right now was to use the vibrator, especially if it would intensify my scent. I stepped out of the shower and quickly dried myself off, being very careful to avoid any part of my body that could be stimulated with more pressure than it should. I put on my flannel pajamas and lay down in bed, tossing and turning as anxiety and worry consumed my mind. "You can't avoid it," my inner she-wolf taunted, wagging its damn tail. "f**k it, I'll die trying," I retorted, turning to the other side of the bed. The full moon was almost complete in the night sky, a few more days and it would be at its peak, bringing out the worst in our monsters. "I'll have to take twice the birth control to get through the festival peacefully, that's for sure," I said to myself. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes, wishing that my biggest concern was just my thoughts at that moment. "Yeah, right... that'll definitely help, dear," my inner she-wolf replied. "Shut up, b***h!" I replied, opening my eyes immediately. I sat up in bed, seething with anger. Finally, my inner she-wolf fell silent when it realized how much irritation it was causing. I picked up my phone to look for Vic's number. There was a message alert from her, which I opened immediately. VIC: Are you coming to the party tonight? I have some interesting friends to introduce you to... (8:50 PM) VIC: Hey, what's up? Come on, Madson! Please, come. No orgy tonight, I promise. (8:55 PM) VIC: Okay, have a great night. You're missing a great party full of huge d***s. (9:20 PM) I tried not to laugh at the last message, but it was almost impossible, especially knowing that by this time she must be pretty drunk. I decided to reply before she sent another message that might end our friendship due to some strong drinks. MADSON: Hey Vic! How's the party going? I decided to stay home; I wasn't feeling too well. (9:24 PM) Vic saw the message within a minute, and she typed a few times and then deleted it the next minute. Finally, her screen went quiet, and she started typing again, probably having mistyped some letters by now. VIC: Yes, the party got really H-O-T. If you know what I mean, friend. (9:35 PM) MADSON: I can't believe I missed that, darn, what a shame. (9:36 PM) VIC: Yes, dear, you're missing out on the fun. You should come over; it's still early. (9:37 PM) MADSON: Unfortunately, my elderly soul doesn't allow it. No going out after 9 PM... Sorry. (9:38 PM) VIC: Heavens! You sound like a retired young woman; it scares me. (9:39 PM) MADSON: It's the burden I carry for being adorable with you. (9:40 PM) VIC: You could be more adorable by joining the party with me... (9:41 PM) MADSON: Nope. (9:42 PM) VIC: Doesn't hurt to try... (9:43 PM) I released my phone, pulled the blanket up to cover my body, and sighed. I didn't really know what to ask her, but the memory of Dylan watching me draw caught me off guard. Before I knew it, I had already asked the question on my phone, sending it before I had a chance to change my mind. MADSON: Do we know many people there? (9:44 PM) VIC: Do you want to know about the ones who are dressed or the ones who are naked? (9:45 PM) MADSON: EWW! (9:46 PM) VIC: The question is valid. (9:47 PM) MADSON: I just want to know if there are a lot of people there... (9:48 PM) VIC: There are the usual crowd, the usual cliques... (9:49 PM) MADSON: That's good. (9:50 PM) VIC: Almost everyone is here. (9:51 PM) MADSON: Almost? Who's missing... besides me, obviously. (9:55 PM) VIC: I don't think the Alpha is here, neither is Antony with his cousin, some older members of the pack with their mates are missing too. (9:57 PM) MADSON: I guess it will get better when the other packs arrive. (9:59 PM) VIC: They're only coming on the last day of Lupercalia. (10:00 PM) MADSON: Why? (10:02 PM) VIC: It's Dylan's orders, no other packs until the last day. (10:03 PM) MADSON: Do you know why? He never did that in the past years, as far as I know. (10:04 PM) VIC: I don't know either; maybe someone from the council will inform us tomorrow. (10:05 PM) MADSON: Okay, then... goodnight there. (10:06 PM) VIC: Are you going to bed already? Seriously, you just used me to get very important information? I feel used! (10:07 PM) MADSON: Oh, stop with the drama, Marilyn Monroe; you only messaged me to set up a double date tonight. (10:10 PM) VIC: Touché! Goodnight, my friend. (10:11 PM) MADSON: Same to you. (10:12 PM) After saying goodbye to Vic, I plugged my phone in to charge, grabbed my pillow, and decided to rest. It was almost midnight when I was awakened by a strange noise outside. I let my werewolf instincts take over and rushed from the bed to the window to see what threat might be lurking outside. It took only two glances to spot the dark shadow hidden among the trees, a tall, muscular man who was looking up at me from below as I looked down at him. "Get out of here, you i***t," I warned, growling. The man didn't budge an inch, his eyes glowing pure gold in the darkness. I was about to grab my hunting knife from the desk below the window when he moved, retreating among the trees until he disappeared completely from my line of sight. Without thinking twice, I ran downstairs, checking every door and lock along the way, testing every security latch in the house. I checked every window twice, testing every latch and latch consecutively. Only then did I move on to the kitchen to look for my second pack of birth control pills. I popped two pills out and swallowed them in one go. I took a deep breath, sat on the cold floor of the house, and remembered that I couldn't ignore even a single hour without the medicine. I couldn't afford to falter; if my scent escaped even once in the next four days, I wouldn't have anyone to turn to for help, and there wouldn't be birth control pills that could cancel out what was coming in time. "I will succeed," I said. "I will succeed..." I repeated. And I kept repeating it until my butt hurt from sitting on the floor for so long, until sleep overtook me there, sitting in the kitchen doorway. Completely alone.
