Dinner was...peaceful.
It had been so long since I was able to just...be...not have to be on alert and just simply exist. It was refreshing. I remember living a relaxing and leisurely life when I was younger, well in comparison, but that seemed like a lifetime ago now. Although we had stepped upon some tense subjects, it was an amazing feeling to cook and eat with my mate.
