Zane POV My body failed me as I tried to move and cross back to Sage. The silver in my system was now too much for me to handle. I could hear Alex fighting off the remaining vampires as Sage ran to the city border and allowed a massive burst of flames to slam into Kendric. Kendric sneered in pain as the fire burned him, but so did Sage since she felt the damn blood sucker’s pain. “Do you want to protect a wolf, Sage? All they have ever done is hunt and hurt you,” Kendric snapped. “Zane is not like the others,” Sage yelled as her entire body glowed. Flames burst out of her, and a red light formed around her. I swear I saw wings made of fire burst from her back. “Don’t!” I yelled, knowing that if she hurt Kendric, it would only hurt her. If her power caused the damage, I wasn't certain
