All the pack members filed into the large gymnasium, welcoming me back and chatting amongst themselves.
Even though I wanted to bring Sage, Alex insisted on waiting with her, ensuring she wasn’t rushed, and I reluctantly complied.
Alex mind-linked me when it was time to speak to the Pack, informing me he was on his way with Sage, who would join me on stage for the introduction.
They were obviously scheming, but I had no doubts it was all in good fun, so I proceeded without interrogating further.
While discussing the attacks and our plans to ensure everyone’s safety, I heard the gym’s back entrance open and instantly recognized Sage’s scent, bringing a smile to my face.
