Chapter 3

Why We?

Mathew's POV 

"Dear Moon Goddess  I hate flying but at least is just a few hours , maybe I can fall asleep and we will be there in a blink." - " Man I prefer the ground as well" - My wolf said I tried to focus on the safety information. 

" Dear passengers!    Welcome to our international flight to Budapest Hungary our estimated travel time is 13 hours please fasten your seat belts while we show you the safety rules. "  - NO NO NO ! Something is not okay! HUngary?! I looked over Ryder who was laughing and at the same time with Eric we said. 

-What the f*****g hell is happening?! - Ryder's head was red and almost cried from laugh.

- 13 hours?! Hungary?! - I screamed. - We were supposed to go to Huston. OMG Your father will peel us alive. We have to get out.

- Mathew calm the f**k down please you are making everybody nervous around us. - Eric said trying to calm me down and turned to Ryder.- But dude he is right we are dead.

- Oh guys...Please don't be such puppies! This is an adventure!  You both know that I don't want any other mate than Scarlet.

- Ryder, she wasn't your mate - He got angry at Eric and growled at him, I put a reassuring hand on his shoulder to try to get his attention and maybe calm him down. I felt like I was in a kinder garden and these two will be our Alpha and Beta. Ryder was always up to something since we were pups. I knew that he will be a great leader he was stronger than any other member of our pack and he could be focused and serious. Probably this all arranged marriage and the rejection just was too much even for him. I understood perfectly that he wanted some fresh air but Jeez this wasn't the best way to do it. 

- He is right Ryder, I know you where in love with her, but she wasn't destined to you. This is why we will travel back with the first plane tomorrow and try to find the One.

- No! We will go to Europe and live a little before I will be attached to my duties and a stupid Mate.- That moment we could've tell that he was having a conversation with his wolf.When they finished he turned to us again and stared in our eyes. He is younger than I but we can feel his power now already and this feeling will grow when he takes his father's place. Ryder is the highest among us, he is 6.5 ft , with short black hair and light blue eyes with he is able to stare directly in your soul.He recollected himself and continued. - As I said we are going to have fun and I will deal with my father's anger when we will be at home. But now lets relax and enjoy this nice adventure. - He put his earphones on and ignored us for a couple of hours.

- We are so f*****g dead Eric!

- Try to calm the f**k down. Anthony is not that bad, he will understand it. This is not Ryder's first secret mission... - But he wasn't convincing,Eric was afraid of our Alpha. He was in his late 50's and we knew that he wanted to pass the baton to Ryder but he acted like a teen most of the time when we weren't training or he wasn't on duties with his father. He hated attachments and now with Scarlet's rejection it was even worse.

- I think all this Scarlet stuff was too much for him. -I said.

- She wasn't his mate but this ass just seems to ignore everyone his own wolf as well. I don't know what that b***h did to him. - Eric was pissed of he hated betrayal but this was understandable his parents were killed by their best friend for his father's position as Beta. Although they were banned from the pack and Eric had a loving family along mine and Ryder's this is a scar he will never recover of it. I tried to sleep a little as well. A few hours later Ryder was still sleeping and we decided to watch a movie when we woke up and joined us. It felt like the good old days in school when we went for school trip. They were in advanced classes so we had almost every classes together. I was never jealous for them being more intelligent I was our teams common sense and glue.

When we arrived to our hotel after 13 hours of travel I just wanted to sleep. But this plan was interrupted by our Alpha. He mind-linked me and Eric.

- Bring him back tomorrow or I will make a rug of your fur!

- Alpha calm down. We Should've stopped him if we knew what he was planning. He tricked us as well.

- I don't care! Arrange this or find him a mate there if you want to take a flight next time as well instead of flying by my kick in your asses!

- Yes Alpha! - We answered together. 

Eric's POV 

- Man our life is over! - Mat whined.

- It's not. Luna probably calmed him down , we have to try to convince him to go back that's all. - He busted in laughter.

- You think we can do that?! He changed our tickets and managed to get us on a wrong plane!

- He probably used his power. - Ryder had a weird power inherited from his grandfather. He could trick a little someones vision to change some details. 

- That little....

- Hey! This will be fun but now I will throw up if you excuse me!- And I ran to the bathroom and promised to myself no to eat anything on a plane again. We went back to Ryder's room where after a little chit chat we planned a little our plans for tomorrow. Next morning that asshole woke us up in the morning after a few hours of sleep!

- Why are you torturing us so much?! - I said with  a yawn.

- Let me sleep! I was dreaming about a sexy she-wolf! - Whined Mathew.

- We have only an hour left to have breakfast at the buffet, are you sure you want to take down this city with an empty stomach?

- NO! 

After breakfast which was indeed fast we went on a guided tour and Ryder got a good recommendation for tonight to have some fun and relax. On the City sightseeing bus I saw the most incredible woman on Earth. Our tour guide Alice was like an angel, beautiful and her voice was like honey to my ears. I looked for my wolf. " Hey man! Mate?!" - " Sorry she smells amazing but I don't feel it." - I was disappointed I could imagine my life with her. Maybe in an other life. After the guided tour we headed to have some lunch and these people know how to cook! But I won't drink this poison again, maybe they are not were wolves but not human either! We saw a group of friends next to our table sending pálinkas one after the other without almost affecting them! Ryder decided to go back to the hotel to have some rest before tonight but I felt he wanted to be alone a little. We saw on our way back to the hotel a girl who was very similar to Scarlet and maybe it troubled him a little. 

- Hey Mat we should check that market back at Fővám Square! Your mom would love some souvenirs.

- That's a good idea! - So we went for shopping and gave some space to Ryder.
