“Duchess, do you have a second to spare?”
Roseanne stopped reading over the documents upon hearing a well-known voice. Standing on the edge of her doorway is the Countess. It had been a couple of days after their last meeting, and she wondered about the sudden need for an audience. Closing the folder, she beckoned to her maids.
“Please bring us some tea.” She ordered, a tone true to her title.
“Of course, Duchess.” With a smile, all of her attendants left.
