In the beginning, everything was perfect, just like a love story on the hallmark channel.
When Joan was eighteen, she was a hard-headed young woman who believed in soul mates and true love. however, she was raised to be self dependent and work hard for everything she ever had. She was a graduate working full time and just purchased her first car used. It was a clunker, but it got for a to b. She was also attending law school in hopes of becoming a lawyer. She was a beautiful woman with dark chocolate eyes with thick fluffy lashes, a pale complexion with freckles and pink cheeks, and her lips were a full pouty heart with dimples. her hair, long flowing red curls, and her body was that thick curvy.
Joan had only dated a few times but never got into anything series she was living at home still with her family saving up to get her own place while putting herself threw law school and working a full time job.
The day she met Sentheo was a day she'd remember for the rest of her life.
she was at work that day, dressed in a pencil skirt and a frilly lace blouse hair pinned back makeup subtle with a pair of dangle earrings. she sat at the front desk behind the computer, she was the receptionest for the only lawyer in town. She was steady with the files typing away when the bell from the door chimes as a tall man with dark hair and emerald green eyes walked in.
" Hello, welcome to the office of kemps & Burns, how can I help you?"
she looked up from her computer screen and drifted away into his eyes they gleamed in the light, pearing in from the window. His dark shaggy hair barley shading them. He bent over the desk, a slight smile spread across his face. He was handsome and tan dressed in blue jeans and a D&D themed t-shirt. She started him up and down, lost in his eyes.
He glanced over her beauty, feeling hot inside he coughed slightly.
" Ah..hemm.. Sorry hi, I'm Sentheo Jones. I'm here for 10a.m. with Mr. Kemps."
Joan brought herself back to reality, shaking her head and going back to the computer screen to verify his information.
" Yes sorry here you are Mr.Jones at 10a.m., can I have your driver's license to put into our system and I'll get you the papers to fill out so we can get you started for the consultation."
Sentheo reached into his back pocket, took out his wallet and opened it up, removed the drivers license, and handed it to her.
" Here you go, sweetheart."
he said, giving her wink.
Joan felt a tingly feeling all over as his thick southern accent hit her ears, and that sweetheart, oh buddy, did she feel the heat behind that one.
She smiled up at him behind doe like eyes. and then handed him a clipboard with papers and a pen.
" Just fill this out for me, and I'll have this right back to you." he nodded
" Thank you, sweetheart ."
he sat down in the chairs beneath the window to the left side of the room.
Joan put in his information from the lisnce to his profile, hit save, then scooted her chair back and stood up. She walked from behind the desk and handed him his license back.
Sentheo took it, grasing her finger with his as he did. she smiled and turned to walk back to her desk. he watched her hips sway from behind the sound of each heel click against the floor with each step. He was grinning and felt hot just watching her walk away. he thought to himself damn now that's a woman. Maybe I should take a chance and ask her out. No wedding ring, so I know she's not married. In the worst case, she's dating, but I gotta go for it. Just the sight of her is driving me wild.
He got up and went to the desk.
" Everything ok Mr.Jones?"
She said, looking up from her computer to face his emerald eyes and charming smile once more.
" Well darling, I was hoping you could help me with a question?"
He asked playfully.
"Of course, which question are you having trouble with?"
She reached for his clipboard, thinking it was to do with his papers.
" Heh, well, I was hoping you'd like to accompany me to lunch after this?"
Joan blushed.
"Oh my, I umm.."
Sentheo smiled.
" Do you like roadhouse? I'll take you there if you'd accompany me."
She smiled at him. her eyes glowing her cheeks pink and warm she touched her hand to her face.
" I'd love that I take my lunker at 11:30. Is that OK for you Mr.Jones?"
He smirked and chuckled.
" Call me Sentheo, sweetheart, and that's perfect for me. Thank you, a beautiful woman for a lunch date made my day."
Joan turned bright red. he thinks I'm beautiful. that voice and his smile oh and those emerald eyes. how could someone this attractive ask me out? im excited for this date. Maybe if it goes well, I can build a real relationship this time.
" Can't wait." She smiled and said," allowd
just then the door to Mr. Kemps office opened. A round man about late forties steeped out his pants up high, held on by suspenders, his greying hair in a comb over atop his head. He stood to the side, his arm extended twords the office.
" Mr. Jones comes right in, and let's get down to buissness."
Sentheo walked over and shook the man's hand, then headed into the office, and Mr. Kemps shut the door behind them.
Joan went back to her work and daydreamer a little at her desk as she waited for him to get done with Mr.Kemps.
At exactly 11:30, Sentheo came out the office door.
" Thank you again." He said and shut the door behind him. he turned to the desk where Joan sat and smiled.
" Well, sweetheart, I'd say it's time for that lunch date. Are you ready to go?"
Joan nodded, closing out her computer moniter she turned and pushed out her time card to leave for her break.
" Mr.Kemp I'm going for my brake now. I'll be back in the hour." she called towards the office.
" See you then, Miss.Carter."
his voice called back.
Sentheo held open the front door, " Right this way, ma'am. " and walked her to his truck.
He had a lifted Chevy pickup black in color, and he opened the passenger door for her and helped her get into the truck. then he walked around and got into the driver's seat and drove them over to the roadhouse.
" I hope you like stake." he said as he helped her down from the truck.
" I do ." she giggled.
they walked into the restaurant.
