CHAPTER 6. SILVESTER DICKINSON

1563 Words
6 hours later, Rosewood Manor, Lanimer Woods, December 3, 2018.   The basement reeked and the woman lied upon the cold floor. It was the beginning of December and the weather too was unsympathetic to the feeble maiden. Earlier, she held a forlorn hope that someone might answer her wailing and she would be liberated, but gradually she came to the realization that there was no salvation for her. She gaped at the big round lock that barricaded the door from opening, the very door which was her escape from the torment. Her colossal hazel eyes were grief-stricken and her lips shivered staggeringly. The palpitations of her heart grew louder with the sound of every footstep that was made towards her. The man pounced upon her from the back and grabbed her neck from the behind. She turned her head towards him and made him fall with a powerful thrust. He got up, grabbed the collar of her t-shirt, and then dragged her from the stairs to the cadaver. Her pure and chaste eyes gaped at him agonizingly, but he stood stern in his resolve. She stole a glance of the distorted figure that sat upon the chair.       Silvester gasped and derided her by exclaiming," You were just commanded to strip while starring at him. I didn't tell you to make out with a corpse. It is unbelievable how thick-headed you are".          Abigail stood and managed to strike him on his left cheek. While gaping at the meagre figure in astonishment, he was overwhelmed by the sudden presentation of courage. She glared at him and asserted," Giving birth to a son like you would have made your mother lose her faith in God". The man simply simpered and exhaled a deep breath. Then, he gave her a push towards the dead man and asserted," Are you going to do it or not?" Abigail's blanch face held nothing but resentment for the man that stood aloof even when she delivered a demeaning insult to his mother. Silvester failed to comprehend her expression and misinterpreted it to be her curiosity. He moved towards the corner of the basement and gestured her to sit upon his lap. Astrid was bewildered by the abrupt changes in his behaviour, but she complied since she hoped that would rid her from performing any obscene activities. Then, he brushed her hairs with his fingers and said," I never had a mother, she died the very day I was born. As for my father, he was a retired general who died of cancer when I was only twenty. I beheld him as an inspiration as he stood undaunted in even the most peculiar circumstances. But losing him made me realise that life was too short for anything but disputes. Since we had our differences, we rarely communicated. Then one of the following days, I decided to join the army as I held the belief that it was the job for conscientious lads, and I was one till then". Abigail's eyes were stern and her gaze was fixed upon the ceiling. It was apparent that she wasn't concerned with his affairs. So, he shook her with great force and continued," In the army, I was referred to as a 'Five-star general'. They greeted me with enormous reverence which compensated for the bloodshed I encountered while warring. My life was at its finest, but soon the catastrophe knocked me over. Do you know what they say? It only takes one woman to wreck everything that you build for years. The same dilemma transpired with me. The people beheld nothing but disgust in their eyes when they approached me. I was held responsible for the offence that I didn't commit, and they dismissed me on the account of a misdemeanour. It was astonishing to witness how a general's words were dismissed in comparison with a mere lowly civilian. The woman accused me of raping and threatening her, and I was innocent at least till then. I was made to leave the post, but I couldn't bring myself to forgive her just yet. I had to forsake my pride, so I wanted her to compensate with her chastity which I got the pleasure to do just recently. Her weeps felt pleasing to the ears and her expression served me joy. Now that I reminisce about that day, I feel contended. Thereafter, I met the fair lady Elizabeth Boyle, alluring to the eyes and appealing to the senses. Her glistening chestnut eyes and dark long hairs, that fell perfectly on her petite face". Silvester didn't seem to realise that her concentration was distorted, and she was vaguely listening anymore. Abigail's eyelids felt heavy as she hadn't slept a wink since the last day, but he didn't wish for her to ramble while he talked. Then, he pinched her cheeks and patted them repeatedly. He, therefore, cleared his voice and proceeded with the rest. He chuckled and then said," Though the whole world held me with contempt in their eyes, she always confided in me. I had never felt the caress of a woman before ever, it was the first time that I admired another person rather than my father. But all good things must come to an end, and so I found her spooning and lying in the caress of her servant, Daniel. Elizabeth took all of my first times, being betrayed was one of them. Although we were preached forgiveness from the very childhood, I wasn't a magnanimous person. I didn't punish her for the betrayal, but for trying to abandon me. She made several unsuccessful attempts to leave, but I caught her every time. It was amusing to witness her whimpers and wailing. Though she betrayed me, I still wished to continue to be her husband. One day when I went to check up on her, she was gone. I tried to confine her to me in every possible way, but nothing worked. She just wilted away like a flower. I loved her in ways that stood incomparable and wanted to spend an eternity with her but that just wasn't possible for us. I still miss her soft neck and the beautiful love marks I gave her upon her face and body. I did that to make sure everyone acknowledged that she was mine to behold and love".   Silvester seemed to be in a frenzy, and he had a wicked smile on his face. It was obvious that narrating the events with peculiar details chronologically made him remember all that he had experienced while maturing. Abigail regarded his tale nothing but a feign fabrication to gain compassion from the other person. She viewed him as a beast after witnessing his monstrosity. While Silvester seemed lost in his thoughts, she tried to reach for the knife that lied adjacent to the corner. The cold floor made her shiver but that didn't hinder her from picking the knife. Just when her index finger touched its tip, she felt the caress of a hand that was placed upon hers. She jerked his hand off hastily and then jumped towards the knife and picked it up. Then, she pointed the knife towards him and exclaimed," Get out of my way!" Silvester simpered and then slapped her hard on her left cheek. She fell upon the floor and the knife slipped from her hand to the other corner of the room. While she laid on the floor, he went towards the trunk and grabbed several thin ropes to confine her. Then, he moved towards the woman and laid on top of her. While he tried to tie her hands with the rope, she bit his right-hand several times. After getting annoyed, he landed a hard punch upon her jaw. She lied on the floor while groaning in pain. He successfully tied her hands and then began to clench her jaw with his right hand. She squealed in pain and steadily tried to push him away with her legs. He bit her neck and left several bite marks upon her neck. Then, he claimed her lips and held her hairs through his left hand. He kept closing the distance between them, he drew heavy breaths and devoured her lips and tongue. While she struggled to free herself, he managed to confine her petite body in his wide arms. Throughout the agonizing experience, she struggled to breathe. He had been sucking the air out of her mouth for a minute, so she ended up becoming breathless to the point that she panted heavily. Thereafter, he began undressing her. He ripped her t-shirt and removed her pants.  Out of angst, she turned and began to crawl away from him. He removed himself from her, and then went towards the trunk and grabbed a flapper. He, therefore, removed his coat and sat upon Abigail who lied facing the ground. He felt her soft skin through his hands. He placed gentle kisses upon her back and she began to moan. Thereafter, he caressed the skin of her back and then began hitting her tremendously. The excruciating pain was too much for her to handle, and few loud groans escaped her mouth. The loud sound of the lashes mixed with her painful cries appeased him. Abigail's lips shivered out of fear, and her eyes brimmed with tears. She tried to confine her agonizing cries, but her mind wasn't strong enough to conquer the pain.
