Lisa is getting ready to go to the café with Jacques. He slept over last night to accompany her and she is glad that he was with her. He entertained her without even talking about her pregnancy or Lucas or even the baby’s father. She knew that she have to go and talk to him, that’s why today, she’s going to the café to wait for his presence and hopefully he will show up. Last time was unexpected, but today she have prepared to see him. “Are you going to tell mom?” Jacques asked, walking out of the guest room after taking a shower. It’s already in the afternoon, but he just woke up. He was up all night, looking out for her even after she fell asleep. He’s being precaution now and his brother have told him to. Someone might tried to get close to her if the news is leak. They have a distanced relationship because they wanted to give her a freedom. But because of this unexpected turn, they need to be close to her to protect them. Now that she have no one but her family. Their father will ask her to come back home, that’s for sure. “Of course, just after I sort this out.” She replied, pulling up the zipper of her jacket. Even though there’s no baby bump yet, she just feel the need to protect her baby. “Sort what out?” He asked since he have no idea what she’s trying to do. At least, he have to know what she’s going to do and when she need a backup, he will know what to do. “Don’t turn away from me when I ask you something important, Talisa. No matter how far you want to go, people will want to find you. You are still a mafia princess after all.” Jacques couldn’t help but to be stern with his sister. She can’t just left him out in a situation like this. “You can’t do that.” Lisa turned to him and spoke out of frustration. “Do what?” “Bringing up what father’s do.” Jacques raised an eyebrow at her, looking at her like she have grown a thorn. “There’s no one in the house.” He replied with a sigh. “Hurry, we need to go to the café. I have to wait for him to talk.” She said, grabbing his wrist and pulled him to get out of the house. “Do you think he will show up? He didn’t go to the café every day.” He said. He knows everything now, because he have been talking with Luis and their private investigator who is willing to work under his father’s nose. “You knew.” Lisa stated. “Of course. What do you think I am here for? I’m here not just for nothing, sister.” He shrugged his shoulders like it was a casual thing to say. Of course, because he is capable to do everything like his father thought him. Luis and Jacques have the same treatment in the work wise, their father didn’t raised them differently. What Luis can do, Jacques can also do unless in some aspects he chose not to learn. Ding.                   Finally, the elevator doors opened. They walked out of the elevator and to his car which was parked in the basement. The car that Luis left for him to drive around. - Her shift is almost over and there’s no sign of Daniel coming to the café. What will she do if he’s not showing up today? She can’t left Lucas hanging like that and he needed a certitude. This is going to be the last cup she’s serving and with a heavy heart, she will have catch him another time. “I’ll go now, Kayla.” Lisa gave the order to her and bid her farewell with her. She took off her apron and hang it up. She didn’t go to the locker room straight away, but she goes to the top floor to see her brother. She know that he’s still here at the café and not once came out of his office. Without knocking, she pushed the door open and found him sitting on his chair behind the desk with papers scattered all over the desk and an opened laptop. “What is it, Lisa?” He asked, not looking up but knew that it’s his sister who just barged in. “Are you going to stay with me again tonight?” She asked while still standing by the door. She didn’t want to come in and sit to have a chitchat. She just wanted to go home straight away. She is mentally tired and a little hurt. “You want me to stay?” He finally looked up with a furrowed eyebrows. “Lucas is not coming home tonight?” He have to ask that. Because, they live together and his stuff is still in the house if he planned to be out. “No. He’s staying in the dorm with his friends.” Lisa shook her head softly. “I’ll come over later.” Jacques nodded his head in conformation. He can see that Lisa is feeling sad right now, his guess is because Daniel didn’t show up at the café. She’s been eager waiting for him, but he is a no show today. Daniel haven’t went to the café for almost a week, from where Jacques watched the CCTV footage. “Okay, I’ll go now.” “Be careful.” She nodded and turned around to leave the room. She didn’t forget to close the door behind her. She walked down the stairs and went to the locker room to get her jacket and bag. After she’s done, she parted her hair into two sections and put them to the front. At least, she can cover her face to not let her sadness shown. She walked out of the locker room and to the front entrance. She walked with her head down, so she barely could see someone who is walking around her. She can see the door in her line vision and she thought she will just smoothly be out of the door. But, someone bumped into her out of nowhere and she almost fall over. But luckily, the person who bumped into her responsible enough to caught her before her ass could kiss the ground. “Goodness.” She whispered to herself and steadied herself back on her feet. “You okay?” Lisa quickly looked up when she heard the familiar voice she’s been waiting to hear. “You’re here.” She said openly and he frowned after hearing what she said. He’s confused when she heard her. “I…am.” He answered out of uncertainty. He doesn’t know what else to answer to her. He’s here to buy a coffee per usual and she just made him confused with her statement like she’s been waiting for him. Why is she acting like this now? “I need to talk to you now, please.” Lisa said to the point and looked at him persistently. She’s going to talk to him to be done with this situation and cleared her relationship with Lucas. She loved Lucas too comfortably like a best friend. She didn’t love Daniel, but a night with him made her wanting more from a relationship. A more excited, sensual, and intimate than she already have.
