“So! Who’s that one new student that caught your inquisitive eyes?” Maria asked, so my eyes narrowed at her because she’s too loud inside of my office and it’s only 6 a.m.
She’s the only one who has the guts to challenge and piss me off with her high-pitched voice, one of the reasons why I fell for her back then.
“I wouldn’t say only one,” I muttered while polishing some of my favorite books before putting them back on the shelves.
“Eh?! So that means there’s two?!” she screamed that almost made me want to wear my ear puffs again just to block her voice, but that would be too rude so I’ll just bear with it.
“Tone your voice down Maria, this is a Library remember? Loud ones like you aren’t allowed here,” I scolded her, which made her grunt like she has heard
