“My dad can be one of the sponsors,” Race offered. I was headed to the parking lot after study hall, and he had fallen in step with me. “What are you talking about?” I asked. “My dad’s kinda wealthy. He owns a Harley-Davidson store, and it does well. It does really well.” “How do you even know about the sponsorship stuff, though?” He ducked his head, a little sheepishly. “One of the girls already asked me. I’m assuming Alex told someone about my dad. He and my mom are divorcing. That’s why we’re here, and there’s an underground fighting ring here. I wanted to get involved with that.” His dad was rich.
