14 We left my grandmother to her adoring fans and returned to the large tent of the merchant maester, Mammonia. Deiger stood guard outside the shut flap, but he drew aside the canvas and bowed his head as we passed. Mammonia herself was seated in the chair behind the table, and at our coming she graced us with a smile. “Good morning to you all,” she greeted us.
