“You did not!” Emma’s quiet giggles that she couldn’t smother even though she slapped a hand on her mouth had me turning to look at her and the guy she was talking to.
While I and Oliver were listening to Jenny tell us about her meeting with the guy her father had chosen for her, Emma was busy conversing with a guy named Shane who wasn’t in any of my classes and I didn't even know him. But Oliver had slipped in that they often hang out with Shane and his friends so when Shane had introduced himself to me, I had smiled in return but didn't take much interest in him.
