“There you are!” Even before I heard him, I saw the way Zurich’s whole stance changed and his glaring eyes shifted from me to the man coming behind me.
Schooling my features, and controlling the brewing darkness inside me, I turned around to face Mason in the dimly lit corridor. As he came closer his eyes lingered on me before going to Zurich and he said, “This seems a right place to have a quiet moment.” I stiffened at the insinuation in his words, but he flashed me a smile and held out his hand as he continued, “Can we have one? Like I said earlier, I wanted to talk to you in private.”
