Tory didn’t ask any questions, just handed over the keycard for a room at the far end of the complex. He didn’t make any comment about Thorn, but nodded and gave him a smile when he was introduced. Thorn seemed startled by his reception, but he nodded cautiously and followed closely behind me as we left. I unlocked the door to our temporary home and stepped inside. I heard Thorn close the door behind him before sitting on one of the two beds.
