CHAPTER FIVE

I threw myself to bed as soon as I arrived in my room. Tears were still rolling down my cheeks and I closed my eyes tightly as I clenched the sheets with my hands.   "Who sent you?" He glowered as I felt his breath tingling on my skin.   "She sent you, didn't she?" He hissed and his grip tightened making me wince again.   "Answer my damn question!" He hollered; his voice echoed throughout the VIP hallway. He punched his right hand on the wall an inch away from my face which made me flinch in great fear.   "I will find out everything about you and that witch's plan and if I found out you're guilty, you're dead. Do you understand that?"   I opened my eyes and released the thoughts in my head. I sighed heavily as I pulled myself up to sit.   Who is she?   Who was he talking about?   Why was he accusing me that she sent me here?   The look on his eyes flashed before me and I felt a pang of hurt. No one has ever looked at me like that before.   It was full of anger, hurt and rage.   Suddenly, my phone beeped indicating a text message just arrived which made me release the thought of Xavier.   Daddy: How's my baby? How was first day? Did it go well?   I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before I typed my reply. I never lied to my dad before but I sure won't tell him that I'm having a hard time. I don't want him to worry. I can do that for myself. Plus, I'm already a big girl and I chose to accept this job.   There's no more turning back.   Me: I'm fine, dad. And first day was great! The kids were awesome. Such good and attentive boys. I love teaching them! :)   After a few seconds, my dad replied immediately.   Daddy: Well that's great, honey. I thought you were having a hard time.   Honestly, I am, dad.   Another message from dad popped again.   Daddy: You'll do great, honey. Show them who the true Sarah Greene is. She's a strong, bold, independent woman. I know she can handle everything. She's a Greene after all. And your mom would be so proud of you.   I smiled as tears started to pour again from my eyes. I needed that. I really do.   Me: Thanks, daddy. :)   Daddy: I love you! :)   Me: I love you too, dad.   I wiped my tears off as I put my phone away. I stood up and took a shower then changed into my comfy clothes before I ate the lunch that was already prepared for me.   After I ate, I took my laptop and went to Youtube.   "No more bad makeup," I told to myself as I typed natural makeup tutorial on the search bar.   I'll show those boys the real side of me. They'll meet the real Sarah Alison Greene tomorrow.   No more trying to act intimidating and whatsoever.   No more rules.   No more Barney song.   It's just me and them.   Just Sarah Greene and those rascals.   It's time to show 'em how I roll.   * * *   I woke up excitedly the next day. I am so looking forward for today's class. I am not expecting that it will turn out good but I am hoping that there will be an improvement even just a little.   The cute guy, Parley Gilbert, who always serve me food, came in at exactly 7 o'clock with my breakfast.   "Good day, Ms. Greene." He greeted as he placed the tray of food beside me.   "Hello, Parley." I enthusiastically greeted back as I stare at the delish foods. He was about to exit my room when I called him again.   "And oh," I called and he spun around to face me. I smiled brightly. "Call me Sarah from now on. No need to be formal towards me."   He nodded in response and flashed me a cute smile then he left my room as he closed the door.   After eating my oh-so-yummy meal, I quickly took a shower. The cold shower woke my sleepy body and I was hopping from the cold. As soon as my body adopted the cold water, I was already singing my lungs out with a Kelly Clarkson song playing on my phone that I placed at the counter before I took a shower.   "I, I wasn't even gonna go out But I never would have had a doubt If I'd have known where I'd be now   Your hands on my hips And my kiss on your lips Oh, I could do this for a looong time   This is my heartbeat song And I'm gonna play it Been so long I forgot how to turn it Up up up up, all night long Oh, up up all night long   This is my heartbeat song And I'm gonna play it Turned it on, but I know you can take it Up up up up, all night long Oh, up up all night long!" I sang with all feelings and emotions.   "Thank you, everybody! Thank you! Muchas gracias! Danke! Gamsahamnida! Salamat! Xie xie!" I said as I bowed to my invisible audience and laughed to my idiotic self.   After I finished showering, I changed into my usual type of clothes. I wore a white loose t-shirt that says I'M THE BOSS, and a pair of tattered-on-the-knees blue skinny jeans that tightly fits my legs. Then I put on my nude three inches ankle boots.   I let my wavy long hair fall to its place and just improved it a bit with a curling iron. I put on a natural makeup that I learned from a tutorial on Youtube. It looked good on me. I look like I didn't even have a makeup on except for the mascara and a touch of lip-gloss.   Now this is me, I thought to myself and smiled at my reflection on the mirror.   I look really innocent and naive without the thick makeup on. I like this look, just natural and fresh.   I glanced at my reflection on the mirror for one last time before I took my phone and headed out. I am satisfied with how I look.   "Hi, Richard!" I beamed and waved at Richard who was taking a sip of his coffee when I passed by him at the lobby.   "Good morning to you too, Miss All-Happy-Sunshine," Richard smiled a bit confused as to where all my cheery self came from. Then he raised his brows when he noticed my look.   "Wow, you look really pretty today. Just like the first time I saw you. Where did all that makeup go?" He joked before I pushed the doors to exit.   I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Youtube taught me how to do a natural makeup. I took your advice yesterday." I shrugged before I pushed the double doors open and exited the building. I heard Richard's chuckle fading out as the doors closed.   I walked to my office and took the things I needed for my class and placed it on my backpack. No more carts for me anymore.   I walked towards my class as I passed the hallways looking like a student. Boys were still boys as they whistled and sent me some pervy remarks.   I am dressed casually and yet these boys were still whistling and saying stupid things to me. I look modest. They shouldn't disrespect me like that!   "It's because you look really pretty," a familiar voice spoke to my ears from behind and I look up to see Ethan now walking beside me, with a cute smile on his face.   I guess I said my thoughts louder than I thought.   "Ethan," I smiled.   "Hey, babe," He winked and I nudged him.   "Who said you can call me babe?" I said with creased eyebrows.   He chuckled to himself and shrugged. I rolled my eyes.   "I'm just kidding, Sarah." He said as he finally composed his self from the chuckle. "You look really good by the way. Just like the first time I saw you."   I looked at him and rolled my eyes as I softly chuckled. "I heard that for the second time today."   He gave me a confused look but I ignored it and we continued to walk down the hallway until we separated ways.   "See you later!" He said as he jogged to the other side of the hallway. I waved at him.   Finally, arriving at my class, I entered the room just like a normal student would, a blank expression on my face.   "Woah," Cremo hollered as soon as I placed my bag on the table.   "Dang, girl. You look fine," Kido complimented as he shifted his sitting position.   Everyone was now looking at me and throwing me compliments or that's how I take 'em.   I rolled my eyes and flashed them a lopsided grin then gestured them to settle down.   "What's up, guys?" I greeted as soon as they settled down.   Their eyes widened and I furrowed my brows at their expressions.   "What's up with you?" Ashton asked, but not offensively. He looked a bit confused at me.   I guess everyone does when they nodded at Ashton's question, still eyes on me.   "W-who are you again?" Kirt asked.   I chuckled, feeling a bit awkward with their stares. "Uh, this is me." I trailed off. "Your teacher. Remember?"   "Oh, right." Kido nodded and everyone followed.   I rolled my eyes.   "Anyway," I snapped with my fingers to get their attention back to me and surprisingly, they did, weird.   "Yesterday," I continued, "was a mess, great mess. You guys were so disrespectful and rude towards me. And I guess that's because of my bad makeup?"   They all chuckled.   "Okay, so I'll take that as a yes." I said as I lean my butt on the table side as I crossed my legs.   "It wasn't really that bad. But it made you look like a s**t," Rick a.k.a Mr. p*****t blurted.   I fake pouted. "Ouch, Rick. That was hurtful."   He rolled his eyes boringly at me. And I rolled mine too.   "So today, we're going to have fun." I said a bit excitedly, trying to ignore a grumpy Rick.   Henry rolled his eyes and said, "Define fun. Because the last time I checked, you sang a Barney song to the entire class. And that is no fun, babe. We aren't kindergartens anymore."   I scoffed and smiled at him. "Henry babe, I assure you that there will be no more Barney, okay? Just sit back and relax. Let me do the talking here." I winked at him at the end of my reply.   He stared at me in shock. And so did the others.   I clapped my hands to snap them out at whatever they were doing and said, "Okay, so you guys must be wondering, what the hell are you doing in this class, right?"   "Well, you guys are here to learn. Boring? Of course! Who said class lectures are fun? But lemme tell you guys somethin'. It is fun in my class."   Most of them rolled their eyes and let out a frustrated groan but still kept on listening.   "Now don't you do that to me, you brats. You need to learn some respect. And I am here to help you with that."   I received a few glares from the class but they didn't budge.   Except Rick.   Of course.   "You didn't just called us brats, you b*tch." Rick hissed and I raised an eyebrow.   "Then you better shut your sh*tty mouth, jack*ss." I retorted as I crossed my arms over my chest.   A few gasped at my mean retort but even though I didn't mean it and want to take it back, I am not going to. I am not just any girl that guys can make fun and disrespect of. I am Sarah Greene and I control my game. Now that they're in my game, they better follow my command.   If they wanna play, I'll give them a play.   That's just how I roll.   I glared at Rick and averted my gaze at Drake who was busy dribbling a ball.   "Drake Flores," I called. "Give me that."   He raised an eyebrow and scoffed. "Like I would."   "I said, give me that you punk!" I demanded.   His eyes widened and grudgingly trudge down towards me and handed me the ball.   "Thank you," I said and he rolled his eyes.   "Everybody, get out!" I exclaimed.   "And follow me. We're going to the court. If anyone will not follow, expect a whole day of lecture from the principal and a harsh detention from me." I said with all authority in my voice. "I bet you guys don't want that, do you?"   Everyone groaned as I exited the room first with my backpack slung on my shoulder and with the ball on my hands.   I heard footsteps and chatting from behind. I didn't look back until we reached the basketball court at the gym.   I threw my backpack on the bleachers and walked towards the center of the court. I gestured everyone to come near me and they did.   I started dribbling the ball as I talked. "Now, who plays basketball?"   No one answered.   I rolled my eyes. "Of course. All of you do." I said sarcastically.   "What the hell are we doing here?" Rick sneered as he crossed his hands over his chest.   "To play ball," I answered directly. "Unless you're a p***y and don't want to let everyone see how you suck at basketball."   Everyone laughed and nudged Rick.   "Watch it, s**t. You're the p***y here." He hissed and I shrugged as he snatched the ball from my hands.   I don't get offended at what Rick calls me instead of my name, because it is not true and I just don't care. He'll learn how to respect in the end. I'll make sure that will happen.   "Just so you know, I'm good at basketball." He smugly said and threw a three point shot.   The ball rolled on the ring for about three seconds before it fell into the net. He smirked at me and I smirked back at him.   I shrugged saying, "Not bad."   He snorted in reply.   The ball rolled to my feet and I stopped it by stepping on it. I took the ball from the floor and I made it spin on the tip of my pointed finger.   A smirk was plastered on my face as the boys look at me in surprise.   "I don't even know how to do that," Cremo said in amusement.   Henry nudged him and said, "It's because you suck."   Cremo glared at him and he did the same. We all rolled our eyes at the cute twins.   "Anyway," I called their attention as the ball keeps on spinning on top of my finger. "As what I said earlier, we're going to play ball."   Everyone grinned and I can sense that they're excited about this.   "But we're not just playing. We're also learning here." I continued. "I'll be your coach today and you do as I say."   "Do you even know how to play?" Kido interjected looking like he's challenging me with a raised eyebrow.   I smirked. "Do you?"   He rolled his eyes like it was obvious.   "Then don't start with me, Kido. I wouldn't come here if I don't play." I added as I stopped the ball from spinning on the tip of my pointed finger.   "So like I said, we play and I'll be your coach. You listen to my instructions and no whining and ifs buts no’s or whatsoever. This is the first lesson I'm going to teach y'all" I stated. "So listen carefully because I'm not going to repeat myself."   "In this game, I need you all to line up." I ordered as I gestured them to do it now, and they followed.   What has gotten in these boys' heads?   They are quite attentive today.   Really weird.   "Okay, so what we're going to do is this," I continued. "I'll pass the ball to the first person in line," I pointed at Kirt who has his arms folded on his chest as he listened to me. "But before I'll pass the ball, you're going to say please."   Everyone groaned.   "Listen up!" I snapped my fingers, "Like I said, say please."   "Boring," Rick muttered.   "Then how about you go out, Rick." I suggested and he just rolled his eyes but didn't walk out.   I sighed then continued, "So before you guys shoot the ball, you're going to guess my name." I smirked and their eyes widened and some gasped.   "My first and last name," I added.   "Sh*t," Kido cursed. "How are we supposed to know that? You didn't even introduce yourself to us."   I rolled my eyes and replied, "That's why it's called guessing, dummy."   He nodded his head and glared at me when he realized that I just called him dummy.   "If everyone fails to guess my name, then we're going to do this every day." I continued, "With a punishment of one thousand push-ups, a five hundred sit ups and an hour of planking."   "Are you crazy? Before we could even play, our class would've ended before we even finished those exercises." Henry complained.   "Uh-huh," I nodded. "That's why, if no one guessed my name right, you will say, 'I'm sorry, I was wrong'."   They rolled their eyes and scoffed.   "No way," they said not simultaneously.   "I'd rather do the punishment than say I'm sorry to you." Drake muttered.   I rolled my eyes. "Is it really hard for you guys to say I'm sorry?"   "Yes." They said in chorus.   I groaned inwardly. "Whatever. Let's play. If you didn't guess my name right, you're going to say you're sorry or you're going to do the punishment right away. Clear? And this is a graded activity! You don't want to fail now, do you?"   They rolled their eyes in reply.   Such girls.   Kirt Morgan was first in line and I raised an eyebrow at him saying, "Kirt, what were you going to say?"   "Please?" He replied, more like asked.   I smirked and passed him the ball.   "So if we got your name wrong, we aren't allowed to shoot the ball?" He asked.   "Yup," I nodded and they all groaned.   "Uh, Taylor..." Kirt trailed off and I smirked, "Swift?"   Everyone poked him on the head and I suppressed a laugh. "Obviously, you're wrong. Sorry or not sorry?"   He groaned loudly and passed the ball to Ashton, who's next in line, and said, "Not sorry."   "Now start doing the punishment, Kirt." I demanded as he trudged towards the other side of the court and grudgingly did the push-ups. I chuckled quietly.   "So, guess my name, Ashton." I said as I turned my gaze back to him.   He cringed and bit his lip before he answered, "Please... Uh, Rolly—Riley—Polly—no. Rica Wilson?"   I chortled. "Wrong."   He groaned and stomped towards Kirt.   "Let me guess, Hayley Johnson, right?" Kido said proudly, as if he was right.   I chuckled. "Hell to the no, buddy." He groaned. "Next! And Kido, you didn't said please!"   "Whatever!" He replied.   Next was Cremo.   "Please, Drizella Cinderella?" Cremo said, more like asked. And we all laughed.   "Stupid," Henry muttered.   "What? Those names were the only ones that popped into my head." Cremo whined.   "That's why you're stupid," Henry retorted and they both glared at each other before Cremo stomped his way towards Kirt and Kido.   Henry was up next and he scratched his head before answering, "Please, Jessica..."   My heart skipped a beat when he said my sister's name. I bit my inner cheek and suppressed the little anger I have for my sister for leaving us.   "Phelps?" Henry finished.   I shook my head at his answer, also to release the thought about my sister. "Wrong. Next!"   "This is stupid." Rick complained.   I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms over my chest. "What's my name, Rick?"   "Slutty B*tch," he replied sarcastically and I glared at him.   "Jack*ss," I muttered under my breath. "Next!"   "Please, Trisha Morson?" Ashton said and I shook my head. He groaned and trudged towards his punishment.   No one guessed my name right and I was quite happy that no one did. We could do this every day and I could see them suffer.   As everyone was still doing their push-ups, I realized that someone was missing.   I walked over to Cremo who was doing his 486th push up.   "Cremo," I called. "Where's Walton?"   "Dunno," he replied as he panted, sweat was all over his face.   I nodded.   Where could that guy be?   He scared me to death yesterday and now he's not showing up. What's up with him, really?   I glanced at my wrist watch and there are fifteen minutes left before the class ends.   I clapped my hands and yelled, "Okay, that's enough. Punishments will be continued first thing tomorrow. Get up!"   Everyone got up and breathed heavily.   "If anyone could tell me where the hell is Walton, I'll be giving you some plus points for today's grade." I announced.   No one answered and all I could hear was their heavy breathing.   "I see," I muttered as I clicked my tongue. "Now, get out. Class is done. See y'all tomorrow. Good job for today!"   I heard a few groaned and they all walked their way out the gym.   I glanced at the ball on the floor and picked it up. I was standing on the other side of the court and tiptoed as I shoot the ball flawlessly to the ring. The ball hit the net right away and I smirked to myself.   I heard a clap from behind and I spun around to see who it was.   "Beautiful shot," Ethan complimented.   I shrugged. "Thanks. My dad taught me how to play."   "Really? That's cool."   "Yeah."   "So," he trailed off. "Hungry?"   "Starving." I whined as my stomach groaned on cue.   We both chuckled and went out the gym to grab some lunch.   Then my mind trailed off to Walton.   Where is that guy?
