Abril felt an immense sense of relief when Alessandro told her they could leave, that everything was finally over, that her suffering had come to an end, or at least a part of it. She was still very worried about what her sister Cira would do, but that was something she didn't want to think about at the moment. She rested her forehead on Alessandro's chest and let out a long sigh, feeling as if a great weight had been lifted from her chest.
"I'm glad it's all over," she said.
