April was surprised to see a strange landscape; they were in a dark alley that smelled of urine and rotten food.
"Where are we?"
"In the real capital of Laios," replied Sirius, holding Taren. The place seemed very different to April compared to what she remembered seeing when she had been taken to the kingdom of Cosset, so she asked, "Are you sure? It looks different from what I remember."
"We are in one of the poor neighborhoods."
After taking a quick look at the run-down buildings outside the alley and making sure there was no danger, April focused all her attention on Taren. He was still unconscious and looked very pale. She used her magic to help him while Sirius said to her, "There's an inn nearby; I hope we can find an available room."
