Maya was about to fall asleep when she heard a knock on the door. It was Abril, who peeked her head through the door and asked, "Can I come in?" "Of course, come in." Abril approached, sat on the chair next to the bed, and asked her, "How are you feeling?" "Better." Abril stared at her as if she knew she was lying. Maya sighed heavily and replied, "Alright, I feel awful, but I'm better than when I arrived." Abril took Maya's hand and infused a large amount of magic into it. Maya felt a little better, but not enough to say she was fine. "My magic doesn't work on you." "I know." "Why?" "I'll tell you, but don't tell Cassian. I don't want to worry him."
