“What’s wrong with you?” Corinne asked Meredith as soon as they dropped her mother off. Corinne had ask the driver to go off too and let Meredith drive, that they were both fine by themselves. Truth she wanted to talk to Meredith, she noticed how withdrawn she had been all morning and was very worried. She doesn’t want to lose her only friend and probably her best friend.
“Me? Nothing is wrong I’m absolutely fine”, Meredith replied in her most cheerful voice and prayed Corinne will drop it. But the princess is a stubborn girl she knows.
“Well you’ve not been acting it all morning”, Corinne retorted. Meredith heaved a sigh.
“I promise you, your highness I’m fine”.
“You never do that when we’re alone”.
“Do what?”
