I danced to the bathroom certainly happy for getting a prey , Jack Ass, after three months. Not that I wasn't getting any earlier, it was just that I was trying to live decently.

I laugh at my last word. Vampire can no way become decent. Killing animal is also justified as there is killing word involved.

This is it.

My mood. Human blood does things that animals cannot. Power. Excitement. Happiness. And above all, strength at your feelings.

Singing to the folk lore that I heard years ago, probably hundred, hasn't left my mind. Whenever I am this ecstatic, it comes to my mouth.

Dropping my undergarments, I step under the cold shower. I run my hand over my throat. The warmth that I got was incomparable.

Deep down I knew I never got this kind of satisfaction from any human blood thaan this one. I subsided it with the thought that I got too weak with animal blood for 3 month that this one tasted heaven.

"I would have had more if I hadn't killed him. " I say to myself.

Wrapping myself in the towel after getting down from shower, I strut back to my bedroom.

"What the f**k? "

Jack was not where I left him. He was dead? And I was scared more than jack was when he saw my distorted face with fangs. Somebody was in my house.

I slowly took a dress and pulled it down my head and picked my cellphone and tip toed carefully. I needed to get out of here before I got caught. The person who could break the spell and enter the house without my permission wasn't one to mess up with when I wasn't as strong as I used to be.

Now I was really happy to have jack. Atleast i could defend myself.

And after getting I was to call Val to tell her about this. As I ran out I saw the blood spots all the way out of the main door.

But why did they take Jack's body?

Once I was out and very far from my villa. I made myself comfortable at the coffee shops table. A man checked my breasts out and made sure to get him first. Probably I needed to break my own rule for strength after somebody broke into my secure house.

"Val."

"Alisa. What did you do? " She sang to me. I sighed.

"I knew the call would be soon. You out of trouble? Never happening! " She crack.

"This is serious, Val. After our pact I wouldn't call you telling that my human boyfriend got to know that I am vampire and I had to clean hus memory. "

She sigh and I know after everything we have been through we didn't want to spoil her happy family.

"Val? I am sorry. " I sigh.

"Stop this and tell me how worse is it?" She asked me.

"Somebody broke my into my house, val."

"What the.... How is it even possible? Oh f**k, you sure they were from palace? And where were you when they broke inside?"

"I was home showering after.. " I bite my cheek for breaking the rule. Was it all happening just because of me hunting humans?

" Huh. If they were 'they ' they wouldn't leave without having what they wanted ie you. Is anything missing? "

I remained silent.

"Al?"

I breath out.

"Val a dead body is missing. I just hunted fir a prey and I was showering after I had him. After finding him missing, I just ran out. "

"What the hell, Al? How could you do this to me? To Trevor? To yourself? "

A yell, here we go.

"The part that I just wiped my boyfriend's head as he found out about me made me to hunt. Due to pact i couldn't call you so I.. "

"So I went for a good warm meal, right? I am done with you. "

"Val. "

She hanged up on me. I would have teared like hours if I could.

"I am an asshole. " I say as I get out of the coffee shop without knowing where else to go afterall my house wasn't a safe haven at all now.

Only if I had been careful for lives of other who would die for me, for accuracy, who have been forced to sworn to die for me.

One among them is my best friend, Valeah Valkover aka Val. And now I wa again the reason to destroy the peace that we gained just 20 years back. For a human it was a really a long time, but for us it sounds like a 20 days I guess.

My head prayed that nothing was going wrong now but my heart wanted otherwise. Even though problems are really problematic but they bring us all together. My people together. I guess, for that I wished for something bad to happen.

My phone rang and it flashed 'Trevy calling. ' I couldn't be any happier?

I pick it up and just as I do I try to get sensible than emotional. Jacks bloods effect went away or maybe I was just too emotional for my vile side to conquer it.

"Trevy you don't have to do something just because you swore that s**t. I am a disowned princess! " I chuckle at the blessing of the last part and I wasn't joking about that.

"And that day who walked with you didn't do it because of that swear s**t but you know why, my princess Alyssa Patterson Russell."

I laugh at the name. "It's Alisa Hayden Trevor, I am done with that he'll of a man. Forgive me! "

I hear a groan and a phone being snatched. "If you bath are done, I want you to rush back to New Orleans to me. You need to get yourself out of radar before we figure out something." Val ordered.

"If I should run or take my car? " I try to joke.

" Whatever convenient! Just don't hunt, for princess sake. " She taunted me just like she does when I mess and later add, "Al, " to lighten me.

"Okay. I am on it. " I Said.

"Listen, I have informed Harry. He will find you as soon as he can. "

"Okay. "

"Bye Al. "

"Val?"

"Yes." Her voice knowing.

"Thank you and I love you. " I said.

"I hate you, bye. "

She hang up and I jump on my classic ford and drive off to New Orleans.
