Excerpt from Barrow’s Journal – My Year with Dragons
Men speak of dragons as dread, fierce creatures who should be slayed, as the devourers of maidens and the destroyers of worlds. That is not the truth of what dragons are. Dragons are fierce. Fierce in battle, fierce in love, fierce in hate. They believe and feel to extremes that humans cannot fathom. It is this extreme level of emotions that we fear, and we fear it so much we put it into myth to understand it.
