“She’s free. She said we can come see her at the office.” Ashley said as soon as she dropped the call with her aunt.
“You know the firm she works for?.” I asked.
“Of course. She works for one of the best. Morgan and M LLP. You must have heard of it.”
“Yeah I know it. It’s on the top ten law firms in the country.”
“Good. Are you ready? You are ready, come on let’s go.” And with that we left the house.
Ashley drove the car partly because she knew the directions better and because I wasn’t in the right state of mind to drive. I was seconds away from going nut. This whole situation put me in between a rock and a hard place.
Ashley took my hand in one of hers while the other was on the steering wheel. She squeezed it twice before letting go. “Everything is gonna be fine, I promise you.”
