“WITH A HEAVY SIGH, I went and got my backpack, deciding to talk to Alice later. I was not a morning person at the best of times, and I couldn’t muster the energy to argue with Mason now. Besides, the passenger seat in his car was much more comfortable than sitting on the bus, although I tended to space out on the way to school regardless.
