“Realization immediately dawned on his face. “You’re right. I’m sorry.” I laughed at him. “You are trying so damn hard! It’s hilarious. I should really torture you and make you do all kinds of things you hate to prove you’re a good boyfriend. Too bad Erin doesn’t have another ticket.” “If you want me to go to the concert, I will,” he said. “Yeah right,” I replied. “It’s probably sold out by now anyway.” “There are always scalpers selling tickets for double their worth,” he told me. “All you have to do is say the word, and I’ll go with you.” “I’m actually looking forward to some girl time,” I told him, and then wondered why I felt the need to explain my rejection of his offer. I should have just said that I’d rather go with anyone else but him. Oh, but the bet, I remembered.
