The group left the warehouse right after Naomi picked the grain-shaped system. Mr. Lowell still couldn't believe what Naomi had just done but a part of him was proud that Naomi could pull that kind of move that even experts couldn't.
They went back to their new base and Naomi immediately worked on the system with the technologies that Mr. Lowell bought on the black market. She and Annie went to the control room where the technologies were stationed while Mr. Lowell and Ark went outside to scout the area.
It was quiet with the sounds of the crickets cricketing and the leaves rustling could be heard outside but inside the sons of Naomi surrounded the control room as she watched her son operate the system through the monitor of one of the computers.
