Chapter 11

Sienna's POV

I stare at the ceiling as I lay on the bed. Asher's arms are thrown around me and his face is in the crook of my neck. It is already morning again. All Asher and I ate were snacks, soda and some momos we snuck from the kitchen midnight.

I slowly try getting up but he only pulls me closer.

"Can't you just get back to sleep?" He asks and I look at him.

"Oh! So you've been awake all this while?" I ask him.

He pulls me a little closer and places tender kisses on my neck. It tickles me at that moment and I push him away.

"What? Shy after everything we've done?" He smirks and I roll my eyes.

I walk to the shower and he joins me. Let me tell you guys, shower s*x is not that bad and I now see what the hype is all about.

We walk downstairs and see the house empty. We use the time and search the whole kitchen to find something to eat. When we find nothing, Asher decides to cook while I just sit on the stool before the counter.

"You don't mind, do you?" I ask him again.

"What? About this??" He asks as he raises his spatula and waves it before me.

Then he flips the pancakes again.

"You know few typical Alphas be like, Alphas for the pack and Lunas for the kitchen. You stir the soup in the pot while I conquer the whole world and sleep with women of lesser value compared to you type?" I ask.

And he bursts laughing at the last part. I mean that, many Alphas feel Lunas are good for teacher and I just don't understand why. What part of girls can conquer anything equal does not ring the bells in their brains?

"Why? Do I look like that type?" He asks me and I shrug.

"Girls can do so much, Sia. Look at you, you killed many on the evening of ritual. Just a couple weeks ago your wolf Hayley single handedly killed four rogues in just two minutes. What else? You can kick asses, so it is not really necessary for you to ace cooking too" he shrugs this time.

I smile at that. Maybe I need to start seeing Asher in a different way from now.

He finishes plating the pancakes and fills two glasses with milk. We sit together at the dining table and eat the breakfast amidst laughter and inner jokes.

The front door bursts open and I see his parents and my mother walk in with wide smiles on their faces. They take in the scene before them and they exchange looks.

"Finally! We had to stay at the pack house because we knew you would be doing the adult thing" Yolanda says.

"What?"

"Huh?"

Asher's and my replies doesn't match but I look at him, and I just know we both are thinking of same thing right now.

"You weren't here at night? We snuck into the kitchen ever so silently when no one else is in this house?" Asher scoffs.

I shake my head and shove the last piece of pancake into my mouth. I drink all the milk in the glass and look at the so called elders in the room. I also notice Asher is already done with the argument and he is finishing his breakfast too.

"So, what plans for today?" I ask him.

"I need to take care of something. You can either come along and know about it, or you can use the time to do whatever you want. Evening, we must leave to human land. The business partners and investors want to meet my fiancé" he says.

And my whole body reacts differently at the word fiancé. I am so used to hear calling me his best friend and I don't even know how to properly react at this.

"Want to tag along?" He asks.

I think for a second and shake my head. He nods and walks out, I can already see the way his walk changes. He is already in his Alpha mode.

Yolanda and Gregory soon leave too. Leaving my mother and I alone.

"So, what are you excited for?" Mumma asks.

"Taking the Gamma title" I smile wide.

She just stares at me for a minute and smiles awkwardly. Then nods at me with a proper smile.

"I was asking about wedding, but that answer made me feel genuinely happy" she says again.

I smile back and nod. And we talk about everything that is invested in a wedding. The physical and mental bonds.

I spend the rest of the day just walking around the pack. Everyone tell me how happy they are with Asher and my decision. I smile whole heartedly. Never did I imagine that Asher and I would decide to get married. And that decision would bring happiness to an entire pack.

I reach the training grounds and I see two girls fighting in the boxing rink. Leader of female warrior team, Linda and an Omega Phoebe. Phoebe lost and Linda won.

"Fight is not as easy as marrying Alpha!" Linda states out of blue.

"Woah woah woah! Where is that coming from?" Hayley scoffs.

"I know right!" I respond and walk forward.

I finally stand before her and I can see it all. I can see the hidden meaning. I roll my eyes. I seriously have no time for bullshit. But then again, I guess Asher is still working and I have this time for myself.

"In that case, a friendly combat?" I ask her.

Linda smirks and nods. She takes a step back and throws gloves at me. I smile and throw them to a corner. I don't need them if my aim is to kick an ass.

Ivan yells at us to start and she is quick enough to raise her hand to throw a punch. I block that and land a hard blow on her stomach.

Linda winces as she stumbles a little. She glares at me and this time, she gets into her defensive stance. I raise my right hand and when she blocks it, I punch her with my left before she got a chance to react.

I hold her by the back of her neck and pull her towards me. I throw her down on her knees and put my other hand on her chest. Just a second and I can rip her heart out.

We stay that way for a few seconds and Ivan states that the combat is now completed and that I won.

"Maybe it's true," I whisper as I give my hand to Linda.

She takes it and stands up. She is still glaring at me and it is not that I care.

"Fight is not as easy as marrying Alpha! Because trust me, the latter is much harder" I shake my head at her and walk out of the rink.

I did not notice Asher's presence. He claps and smiles as I walk towards him.

"You finished her in three minutes. Wow" he says and I shrug.

"That was an easy win!" I shrug.

"To you, yes. Because Linda is leading the whole army of female warriors" Asher says again.

We soon part ways to each other's houses. And I walk into my home to the smell of freshly baked Mac N Cheese. My mother is just taking it from Oven and I just couldn't wait till I come out from the shower. But I had to, because I am sweating right now.

By the time I walk downstairs, I see Asher finished half of it and is talking to my mother. While she is laughing listening to whatever bullshit he is saying.

"Hello to you too, but we are running late" he says.

I don't mind him as I take my time having the Mac N Cheese. I don't know if it is me who is hungry or if this genuinely tastes good, but now I understand how Asher finished half of this.

Once I am done, I walk to my room. I choose a beige off-shoulder maxi that is classy and elegant. I pair my outfit with white heels and go with minimal makeup. I pack my purse with essentials and walk downstairs.

I swear this must be some psychic connection or whatever, but Asher is dressed in beige shirt too. He paired that up with black pants. But the matching theme is totally unintentional. My mom wiggles her eyebrows at me and I simply roll my eyes with a smile.

Cannot believe it is already evening. Time is just flying! I hop into Asher's BMW and he starts driving. I don't know what it is, but I find men attractive when they drive. I just don't know why. Maybe it is just me.

"I am excited!" I squeal.

This is the first time I am visiting human land. And I wish I don't mess this up. That would ruin so many things I don't want to begin with.

"Little tips, act like you are self centred. Most girls I have seen act that way" he says.

"I would act like myself, next!" I say and he chuckles.

"Call me babe and kiss my cheek often" he says.

I narrow my eyes at him. Human girls do that to their partner or is Asher just exaggerating at this point? He smirks and I get the answer. But still, I don't want to take any risk.

"Do not show off your strength! Werewolf strength is far compared to human strength. You need to step down and consider yourself sensitive whenever you are on human land" Asher says again.

I nod. He gives me several tips that includes me smiling most of the time and many more such things. I just decided I would be myself and enjoy the evening. This is my first visit to human land after all. What could possibly go wrong?

We arrive at a place that looks like a restaurant. Not that I have been to one, but I have seen few in movies. Everything about this place is classy. There is a huge fountain just at the entrance. And a man opens the door for us. The interior is absolutely stunning.

"Good Evening Sir. Good evening Ma'am" another man greets us as he leads the way for us.

"I rented the whole place for the evening. The party is ours" Asher says and I nod.

Sometimes, I forget just how rich he is. As soon as the door opens to the party happening, I notice Asher entering into his Alpha mode. He is standing straight and tall, greets everyone with his usual aura of an Alpha.

I cannot help but address him as Alpha in my mind too.

"Congratulations!"

"Cheers to a new chapter, man!"

"Congrats on finding your girl"

I hear various responses but I focus on walking right now. Asher, my Alpha is still holding my hand and I walk with confidence. I smile and greet at everyone who came forward to wish us.

When we stand at the head table, everyone are already looking at us with smiles. Alpha starts talking and I look around to see if something is entertaining.

I see human girls trying their best to grab someone's attention. Few are showing off their cleavages and few others their thighs. Their dresses are designed that way too.

But I also notice few genuinely happy and here to party. Maybe I can picture myself befriending them.

Once Asher is done talking, everyone looks at me.

"She is a shy one. So she needs time to open up. I am not going to force her to talk right now" Alpha says and I smile at him.

First a man in suit approaches us and congratulates us.

"Finally. The girl of his dreams is here. I was worried at one point" he says and I narrow my eyes at both of them.

"Why?" I ask.

Alpha is trying his best to push him away but now I am officially interested.

"Oh you didn't know? This guy slept with almost every girl in this restaurant" he says and I scoff.

And there I thought, that my Alpha could not even take hints that a girl is throwing.

"Oh wow! New piece of information. I highly appreciate it" I smile at the man whose name I still don't know.

Alpha awkwardly smiles. Now I see the reason, I wondered how he lifted me up yesterday with such ease. He is an expert, obviously. Wow.

We greet few more guests and I realise Alpha is Asher here. He is a playboy. He is a free spirit. And he slept with every single girl in this room.

"I don't feel good" Hayley says.

"Is it jealousy? Tell me it's not! I'm not into that crap" I mindlink her back.

I pretend as if I am gently rubbing my eyes but I am mindlinking my wolf.

"No. Not that. I don't know. I cannot describe it" she says.

Whatever. I grab a glass of water and sit on the chair again. Everyone are having their food talking about a random topic. But Hayley and I feel suffocating all of a sudden.

I don't know what is wrong, but I know something is definitely not right. I try recalling the tips Asher gave me while we were on the way. I am not sure if he was joking about the Babe and kiss one, but I decide to call him that till this meet and party ends.

I need some fresh air, and I don't know how to tell Alpha about it. I fiddle with the half empty glass of water as a waiter serves me the steak and side of steamed vegetables. Looks appetizing but the portions are small.

I try focusing on food, but I cannot. Something is making my soul jump and pounce. I don't know what that is. I see two more men walking in and Asher playfully calls them out for being so late for the party.

"Congratulations on your engagement!" A friend of Asher wishes us with a wide smile.

"Thank you so much," I smile while Asher greets the other.

"Oh My God! Asher Nelson is engaged to that girl?"

"I thought he only slept with her"

"She hit the jackpot!"

I could hear all the background voices thanks to my werewolf hearing. I am on human land trying my best acting as a human but my wolf wants me to let her out. I was engaged to our Alpha yesterday and here we are, partying with his human friends who has absolutely no idea of who we truly are.

"Babe, I need a moment of fresh air. Excuse me," I kiss Asher's cheek and turn around.

And right then, an intoxicating scent of wood and spice hits me. I quickly look around to see if there is another werewolf present here.. but I am greeted with a very fragile human guy who's refilling water.

"Congratulations on your engagement, mam!" He smiles at me as he fills the glass before me with water.

Where has this man been all my life?
