After our return, the shadow pack was almost overrun with slaves. These were all young wolves between the ages of thirteen and twenty years who required some serious guidance on how to act in a human world.
They needed schooling in general and someone to look after them. Some of them chose to stay with the pack from their region who happily took them in, but most of them hadn’t known their families in such a long time that they preferred to stay together and came to the Shadow pack.
I couldn’t spend all my time with the ops unit and had to help with the planning of the packhouse extensions to support the new numbers as well as the school to help these kids get back on track and eventually become contributing members of the community.
We also had to arrange for them to be treated
