Prologue - Wedding Vows

367 Words
“ I vow to adore your beauty every morning I wake up, And promise to never complain when you take long hours to get ready. I promise to not throw my wet towel on the bed after I shower, And help you with the groceries and with the dishes when you've had an exhausting day at work. I will consider your family as mine and accept them with open arms. From this day forward, I promise to love you even when you refuse to let me watch the game, To love you even when you blow my one week’s salary on yet another fancy handbag. I promise to make a balance between you and my family and have my priorities set straight that will remain unaffected to any. I promise I will always find you slim, only without my glasses so don't ask me this every day. I promise to stand by you even if you push me away. In sickness and in health you'll be mine and only mine. I promise to protect you and take care of you. I love you and I promise to honour and cherish you. This I vow to you. Till death do us apart." ~Jared "I promise to be those extra set of eyes when you need clarity in life. I will be your light to give you perspective when you lose yours. I don't only want to grow old with you but I want to be happy and grey with a family with you, In a household filled with laughter, patience, understanding, and love. I vow to love you even when you refuse to come shopping with me to watch soccer with your gang, To cherish you even when you refuse to eat the terribly cooked dinner, And to understand you when you are mad at me because of something that happened in a dream. I will comfort you when your team loses and drink beer to celebrate their win. I promise to love you the same even if we are broke I won't demand diamonds, cars and a bigger house. You are everything that I'll ever need. I want to be yours today and forever." ~Angela
