Ryder's POV
We stayed and trained with the vampire for a few weeks. However, our pack can reach us at any moment. If they need us, they can reach us. They can mind-link us. We are not worried as we have not heard much from them. When we contact them, Alex assures us that everything is fine. He is in charge of the back while we are gone. He reports to me every night, and everything seems to be okay so far. We know if they have to fight, and we feel if they get hurt or get killed. It is part of the pack bond. However, tonight, something feels off. We have tried to contact Alex, but there is no answer. We can feel that our pack is not fighting or that no one has been killed, but something feels wrong.
