Chapter 3 Cooper sat back in the rocking chair on the small front porch of his tiny home, looking out across his parents’ farm. The sun had finally melted the last of the winter snow, and pretty soon the hot days of summer would be upon them, which meant he would have been home for almost an entire year. It’s the longest he’d been back home since he was eighteen, and while he loved cross country skiing and snowmobiling, they had lost their appeal after the first month. At least now he could change it up with mountain biking or kayaking. Maybe even a little rock climbing and scuba diving in the lake. But he knew he’d get bored with that, too.
