Silence! an unpleasant, awkward silence enveloped the room. My parents, Aiden, and I have been sitting in this living room for close to 15 mins and yet no one said anything. My parents sat still, looking tense and the look of uncertainty on their faces somewhat confused me.
My entire life being their baby girl, I've never seen them look so conflicted and so uncertain about anything.
