"So, saan ka nga nagpunta? Allen's mother does not know that Allen is inside a gang. His mother is already old and he thought that her knowing that he's inside a gang might surprise him and baka lumala pa ang kondisyon niya. Also, he does not want his mother to be involved with his craft, as he already knew that it is dangerous.
His mom knows that both Alvin and Cera are his friend pero wala talaga siyang ideya na nagtatrabaho sila sa isang gang.
Don't you trust me? Gano'n na ba ako kaloko kaya you don't trust me already?"
Nawala na hangover ko kahit papa'no." Allen blinked his eyes. That's a sign that he's lying. Only few people knows that habit of him.
He cut those words of his mother. "Ma, how many times do I have to tell you that kayong tatlo, hindi kayo pabigat. It is my responsibility to earn for us as the only man in our house," ani Allen habang naririnig ang mga pagsinghot ng kaniyang ina. "Huwag ka nga umiyak, ma. Para kang ano. Hindi bale, I will go home before noon para ibigay sa inyo ang pera. Love you."
"Mahal din kita, 'nak." And Allen ended the phone call.
Allen looked at his wounds and touched it smoothly. "Pa'no ako nito uuwi? Hayst, timing nga naman."
He placed his head on the pillow and closed his eyes. Later on, the spirit of sleep entered his soul and he ended sleeping with lots of thoughts in his mind.
Few hours later, he woke up at 8AM. His body clock commanded him to wake up. "Wala pa ba sina Cera? I want to go home already."
There entered Cera on his usual doctor's gown while smiling. "Good morning, Allen." She acted shocked as soon as he saw Allen's naked upper body. "Oh my god, Allen.
He did a terrible job sewing my wound."
"Hindi siya 'he', Allen, 'she' siya."
"Iisa lang naman ang babaeng doktor dito," Allen stopped as he realized something. "Ikaw ba ang tumahi ng sugat ko?"
"Oo," Cera answered and nodded.
Abangan mo 'yan."
"Teka," Cera stopped and covered her mouth. "Did you just suture yourself?"
"What are your plans? Hindi ka pa ba magdadamit?"
"Nasa'n si Alvin?"
"Papunta na 'yon dito." Then there was a man who entered the room. "Speaking of the devil."
Alvin put on a shocked face.
"Totoo ba, Cera? Pinagpalit mo lang ako sa may abs? Hindi naman hamak na mas pogi ako kay Allen e," he said and seeked for a wall and did the walling. "Napakasakit..."
Cera looked at Allen. "Hindi ba hinahanap mo 'tong gagong 'to?"
"Ako?"
"Oo, Alvin," Allen talked.
"Kailangan kong pumunta sa bahay," Allen replied and slowly changed his position from laying down to sitting. "Naubusan na ng budget sina mama. Kailangan kong mag-iwan do'n."
"Hoy, Allen.
"I promised them that I will go home today.
"E pa'no nga, e may sugat ka?"
"Ayos lang, kaya ko naman."
"Ang kulit naman e. Hatid nalang kaya kita, Allen. I can't let you go home on your own."
"Kaya ko nga kasi," Allen said with a tone. "Just get my cloth and my things. Kaya ko talaga. I'll come back here na buong-buo pa."
"Kulit kasi..."
"Pa'no ka pupunta do'n sa bahay ninyo?"
"Jeep, I guess?"
"Bahala ka nga sa buhay mo, Allen. Ang kulit mo naman kasi, tanginang 'to," Cera sweared. "Basta ba bumalik ka dito ng buhay. Hmp, umalis ka na."
Allen just smiled and left the room. Few minutes later, he is waiting for jeepneys to come. "s**t, maga-alas dose na."
There came a jeep na halos puno na. Despite of having a deep cut on his stomach, nakipagsiksikan pa rin siya sa loob ng jeep. Fortunately, the people inside the jeepney is decreasing.
When someone hits his wound, hindi niya nalang iniintindi 'yon. What's in his head is that he needs to give his mom the money they need.
"Para po! Heto bayad," he shouted before leaving the jeepney. The other passengers gave him back the change before he get out of the jeep. "Salamat po."
He slowly walked towards their house. He looked at his wristwatch for so many times. "Paalis na 'yon, sigurado."
Allen decided to walk faster than what he did before.
"Heto ma, budget for the whole week. I may not be going home in the following days kasi busy."
"Alice, ano ba?" Alex said while slowly nudging Alice. Alice and Alex are twins. "Kuya pa rin natin si Kuya Allen, why do you need to be that rude? After all, lahat naman ng gamit mo siya ang bumili."
"Hayaan mo nalang si Alice, Alex," ani Allen at ngumiti. He tapped Alex's head while Alice avoided the tap he was about to do. "Magn-noon na ma, you better leave."
"Sige anak," ani ng ina niya. "Salamat dito, 'nak.
Both Alex and Alice are identical twins but the way they act with their older brother is different. Alex is way sweeter and Alice is ruder.
He decided to come in the house to change his cloth. Allen stood up in front of the big mirror. "The wound is bleeding na naman. What's wrong with this?"
He even handwashed the used cloth to remove the blood stains.
After doing the chore that was not done, he took a rest in a bit before closing the door of the house because he planned to go back to the gang.
As usual, he was waiting for the jeepney at the waiting shed. Tirik ang araw and he was sweating. His lips are dry and not in the right color as well.
"Excuse me, mister," a man called Allen. "Are you fine?"
"I am fine..." nanghihinang wika niya. "Thank you for the concern."
"Isn't that blood stain in your shirt?" the man asked him. Allen looked at his shirt and saw the blood stains. "Are you really okay?"
"I'm fine..." Good thing, nasalo siya noong lalaking 'yon.
"Hey dude," the man panickly scowled. "You're not fine. Let me carry you to the hospital."
The last thing Allen remembered is that the man carried him in his back and ran immediately towards the nearest hospital. And then, the view blacked out. He lost consciousness.
